  1. I got the first Mantoux yesterday and then you have to get a second one a week out so that doesn't really help. This is why I opted to have my blood drawn at the end of May. My PCP left the organization on June 1st, so I'm going to spend today looking for a new provider, hope to get in and have them write me an order for QFT. Last night when I got home from work, I looked up Quest Diagnostics website and they still perform QFTs as long as you have an order. So now, to the order!
  2. I am starting a MANE program this August. I need to submit the results of my tuberculosis test by July 15th. My school will only accept the results of a QFT or two step Mantoux. My provider ordered a QFT and I had my blood drawn at the end of May. I submitted my lab results to the school which were negative. I found out Monday that my school rejected my results because the test was not QFT, but T-Spot instead. It turns out that my health care organization does not do QFT anymore and only do T-Spot for TB blood testing. I had my first part of the Mantoux done this morning and will do my second one in a week. As a result, I will not have my results submitted by the 15th. I called and emailed my adviser at school but I have not heard anything. Is anyone else having this issue?
  3. Bucky, where does OP state that they are an aide?
  4. I received my acceptance letter from NHCC yesterday! My score was 11.13 so hopefully some of you are next!
  5. I am officially off the waitlist at North Hennepin! I received my letter today. I need to mail it back by 4/16 so I'm going to run to the post office and overnight it in the morning! My score was 11.13, if you're keeping track.
  6. Congratulations on the wonderful news!
  7. First of all, congratulations! I wish I would have applied to Anoka Ramsey. I work with nurses that have graduated from many different schools. The ARCC graduates seem to be better prepared. This is purely anecdotal, just what I have observed. It sounds like they have also had better clinical experiences as well.
  8. Adeenk, I don't know what kind of work you do, but if you're a nursing assistant, you could get a job in a hospital doing second shift during the week and whatever shift works for you on the weekends.
  9. I don't think any MANE programs offer an evening\weekend option.
  10. Yes, I am waitlisted at NHCC.
  11. Waitlisted with an 11.13!
  12. That would drive me nuts!
  13. Waitlisted at NHCC with an 11.13.
  14. Yes, you get a letter no matter your status.
  15. Bake0905, did you see the date on the letter?
  16. I am also anxiously awaiting! My score is only 11.13 so this could mean anything. What's your score?
  17. Have you shared these concerns with your PCP?
  18. I came here to say this.
  19. When I have an acceptance letter in my hands, I will send you mine for free!
  20. Yes, good point! Many community colleges offering nursing have these TEAS study sessions. The ones in Minnesota are free! I hope they are free in your local area too!
  21. Well, hey! Were you accepted and if so where?
  22. Have you looked at the requirements for acceptance in Century's program? So far, it's looking good for you. They accept you depending on your GPA for those four core classes and then your TEAS score. You have done well on those first three classes. It looks like you just need to take Biology and take the TEAS and you can apply. I would predict that if you get a B in Biology and a 75% on your TEAS, you would probably be accepted.
  23. Order the TEAS study package. You will then have access to practice quizzes online and in the book. https://www.atitesting.com/ati_store/product.aspx?zpid=1194
  24. Were you accepted into a MANE Program? I am curious what your composite was. I am applying for Spring 2016 and it's looking like my composite is a 10.6. I know that this is not competitive but I've heard of people being accepted for less.
