  1. i'm in too spjjmommy. we start in 3 days. congrats to you!!!!!!!
  2. Here you go. http://web.indstate.edu/nhhs/contracts/agencylist.asp#search-agency-list
  3. I know you will make it. Cal State Dominguez Hill has a BSN program for RN's. Here is the link. http://www.csudh.edu/cps/son/msn/pathway.htm This program is online. They also have a MSN program. Send me some private messages and we will talk. I may have some information you may need. I'm in this for the long haul.
  4. I got my transcripts evaluated. Call and ask for the transcript evaluation department, not your counselor. They will e-mail you your evaluation. You should have a WGU account where you can log into, I do.
  5. Same here. It is hard to get in contact with anyone in the nursing deparment. They changed counselors on me also. My new counselor is always busy. I get these generic e-mails also. However, I have no problem talking to the counselors at Indiana State. Indiana looks promising because they answer the telephone. Stay encouraged. Are you looking for a BA or Masters?
  6. I totally agree with you. Biochem appears to be a big overkill. I wish I had completed it my first go around. Hope you get in real soon. I will start my chemistry this summer. Do you have any suggestions? I'm in CA. I'm in no mood for 2 years of chemistry also.
  7. Thanks. Do you know anything about the Biochemistry requirement. Sounds pretty intense.
  8. I see that Biochemistry is a prerequisite. Are you looking for a full course entitled biochemistry? Before I can take Biochemistry, General chemistry 1&2 and Organic chemistry 1&2 will have to be taken. In a traditional school this can take maybe two years. Maybe you are looking for one chemistry course that includes biochemistry in it. I am unclear as to the Biochemistry requirement. Must all chemistry be completed before enrollment into the program. Do you have any ideas how to quickly fullfill your chemistry requirement? Will you accept once course in general chemistry for science majors?
  9. When will the next nursing cohort start? I am trying to have all of my pre-requ's completed before the next nursing cohort begins.
  10. I showed up the first day for Anatomy and got an add slip. Make sure you show up the first day and be on time. There is a test or quiz every week, but you have a good idea of what will be on the exams. The instructor hands out plenty of handouts and there are powerpoints every week. Make sure you know your powerpoints. Maybe I will see you on campus in February. I made flashcards of all the powerpoints and drilled myself to death. It paid off. I got an "A." We also wrote two papers. You can choose any topic covered or in the text, but he must approve your articles before hand. If you study everyday you will be fine.
  11. Thanks so much for all the great tips. I will start to schedule some of my exams. I have had books laying around for years. I have not been able to study them. I would start and stop. I hate deadlines, but I too work better with a deadline.
  12. LASC is a good school. I took the Saturday anatomy and physiology classes. Both Saturday instructors are great. I have not had any problems. The classes are intense, but study to get through.
  13. That's good to hear. Which one do you recommend doing first or does it matter? Do you have any study notes you can share? Thanks for the encouragement.
  14. I know how you feel. I called and called and called and called and called. The counselor I am assigned to would not call me back. I even made a telephone appointment with her to call me at a certain hour and she did not call me at that time. I was lucky enough to get an official transcript evaluation done before I was assigned to her. All of my prior course work transferred from my previous college. I believe they are looking for people that have completed all of their pre-requ's. They have lots of pre-requ's. I finally talked to my counselor and she said that I needed to finish my pre-requ's because they do not have a way to accommodate people without the pre-requ's now. According to my transcript evaluation, I need 4 more classes, microbiology, nutrition, pharmacology, and biochemistry. Once I finish microbiology I will give her a call and see what she says. Another thing, I did not have to pay the application fee. I'll try to keep you posted. Is there anyone else out there that can only attend school online, in the evenings or on the weekend because they have to work to support their family? Why are their not enough schools to accommodate us? There is no way I can afford paying $70,000 for a nursing program. yug
