  1. The school is open again, in case anyone didn't know. I'm going there in the fall, and when I interviewed with the Dean, I actually did ask her about Ike. She said that the school motto is "The University of Texas stops for no storm," and acts accordingly.
  2. It's the informal setting of the internet that is to blame, I think. I would imagine-or perhaps, hope-that nearly all on here do know proper grammar and writing form, but the internet does bring out the laziness in people. I'll admit, when I am on other sites, I do not always use capitalization. I know how a grammatically correct sentence should look, but I just don't capitalize like I should unless they're proper nouns that more then a few people might not know about. That aside, this a forum about a highly professional field. It would seem rather pertinent to act and type in a professional manner on here.
  3. Hi all, I'm a bit late in announcing my good news, but in early May I found out that I got accepted at UT Medical Branch in Galveston for the BSN program. It was completely insane though, because I had applied to UT Austin-didn't get in- and had already decided to stay and reapply when I got the news from UTMB. I'm certainly not complaining, though. I'm taking two classes in the summer to finish pre-reqs that UT Austin didn't require and UTMB does, but I've finished all of the other paperwork and training. :) Congrats to all!
