  1. I bought a new stethoscope and the sound is really louder than other kinds of stethoscopes that I used before and I'm happy about this. However, I feel a slight pressure on my ear (on my eardrum) whenever I press the diaphragm on the skin. I worried that I maybe unintentionally damaging my ear drum because of this. Is it possible that I can get ear damage because of stethoscope use?
  2. Congrats! Good job yeah..
  3. I think it's ok. Be consistent on your schedule for review and review areas you think you're weak at.
  4. Really. I thought the NCLEX was straightforward? -_-) How many SATAs did you got? Congrats! ^_^
  5. Whoaw. When I applied, all they asked is Clinical rotation schedule. It's best for you to have a constant communication with you Licensing Analyst through email so that you'll clarify what they really want to see as early as possible. What's the update of your situation?
  6. 7-8 months already..taking breaks now and then..Finished 3-4 books of NCLEX Q's including La Charity. I hope I'll make it for the first take.
  7. Good luck Les! I'll be taking my exam too next week...so yeah, more power to us ^_^
  8. You guys remind me of my former classmates in my section on the last year of college. They're so cool and always calms me whenever anxiety attacks me. Almost of all them are now nurses on our country. I hope you have a review that is fun and is worth it. Let's study hard and try our best in our exams. ^_^
  9. CT Pixie...You're a fresh air for my anxiety. I'll be taking NCLEX soon and oh boy, you can guess how worried I am in failing the exam. @_@
  10. Coz you know, I'm used to say that to myself, like for example, in our Finals exam...I'm not in the top crop of our batch but I can say to myself that I'm confident everytime I take an exam. But now, there's just a creeping self-doubt on me. Good luck too. I hope before this year ends or in the beginning of the the new year, we'll pass our exams already.
  11. Hello there comrades. I'm a foreign graduate so I focused on the NCLEX style of questions these months by answering NCLEX question books. I'll be taking the NCLEX exam about 2 weeks from now and I have a lot of anxiety popping out. My self-confidence is still here with me but I'm sensing it to be wearing out and I'm easily stressed out this time compared to months before. I'm focusing on my weak areas and still continuing to review NCLEX books and notes from college. I'm wondering if there's a point where I can say "I'm confident in passing the NCLEX".
  12. There are just some things science couldn't explain, like the witches and witch doctors who can plant curses on those who steal farm animals in our province (in the Philippines), who can heal the sick, or who can even make someone fall in love with another person. They're perfectly normal for me but probably when they'll be sent to be studied by scientists, they'll just be branded as crazy or something. Professionals in our modern world can just quickly dismiss it as not factual and have no scientific basis but the thing is I have seen and experience it [being healed]. Hmm..Well what I can say for now is that we just have to be open-minded at all times. I'm also interested in those mysterious stuffs and wonder if I can apply it also when I'm rendering nursing care to my patients [in the future ].
  13. Hi.. I'm also from the Philippines, from a not well known school. I got my ATT already. My advice is to talk to your Licensing Analyst about the problem if you have a batchmate or a friend who is from the same school and also have the same curriculum and took the NCLEX already. I read similar problems in this section of allnurses and most of them got approved [from what I read] when they told their licensing analyst that their batchmate with the same curriculum has been approved by BRN before and have been granted to take NCLEX. I hope I can ease your anxieties a little, and give a potential solution to your problem. I know deep in your heart that you're really bent on taking the NCLEX exam and I know the torture of waiting and hoping that someday you'll get your ATT. Please update us about your problem. Don't lose hope.
  14. The Star Wars theme suddenly played on my head..Yeah that's what I think too.. keep calm, focus, but at least have an ounce of fear in your mind. We can do this.
  15. Thank you buddies. As a foreign graduate, I really want to not miss any single rule or information about application process (although I felt I'm being stupid sometimes for being so overly obsessive about the rules. But anyway this is an exam that'll change the course of my life so I think that's alright. ). I already made a schedule..Now I'll focus on my review...
  16. Hi buddies. I received my ATT from Pearson Vue through email last Friday at 9pm but I have not yet received a letter (email or hard copy) from BRN confirming my eligibility. When I'm accessing my account on Pearson Vue, it shows I can schedule my test already. Can I proceed with this without any problem? Just wanna make sure, the process would be smooth so that I can fully concentrate on my review. Advance thanks..
  17. Congratulations! Whoaw I hope I won't be having too much SATA and still pass like you...
  18. Hi there. I just want to say never give up. You've done it once (pass the LVN exam)..There's a great possibility that you'll do it someday. I read here in allnurses, maybe a year ago, that there's someone who took the NCLEX-RN and passed the tenth time he took it. >> Here's Jackie Chan for a little inspiration. In the past, they did many scenes wherein they literally have thousands (yes thousands, even more than that) of takes to just perfect a 5-10 minute stunt or fight scene, with a LOT of permanent injuries. But in the end, they're happy that they didn't gave up.
  19. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Who-Will-Suffer-if-Theres-No-usnews-1162833064.html?x=0#mwpphu-container I'm applying for my NCLEX-RN.. I do have the right to worry about this right? .. I just don't want that the completion of my journey to nursing heaven be stopped.. ugggh.. -_-)
  20. Congrats kababayan. Nice one!
  21. Congratulations! Yeah I get a LOT of 50s and 60s...I hope I could make it too.
  22. Good luck to you ^____^)
  23. I didn't take the NCLEX yet but as a nursing graduate, I also experienced how to fail an exam. Yeah I know it's terrible, but moving on is the best move. I exercised, woke up very early [3AM, the hour when farmers in the Philippines go to the rice fields], cleaned our house, laughed very hard with my friends and with the people I just met and I stayed positive throughout the end. Failing. It's just a part of life. Somehow, somewhere, you'll gonna fail even if you consider yourself an expert already. Stop cryin now.. , you can do it.. :)
  24. hello to everyone. i sent my requirements (except my transcripts..but my school already submitted it) to bon of california on the 3rd week of may. wondering if they received my requirements and the check for my payment, i emailed them (i sent my question in here: [email protected]). a day later, it replied. it said that "as of today's date, i have no record of an application for you in this office." am i going to wait further? is it ok to call them regarding this matter? thanks for the help.
