  1. Little Mouse, I got your PM and am responding to your in here as I do not have an option to respond to PMs. Anyways, the fact that I got a job when I did is no luck. It's solely God's hand and timing. I did nothing different this time than I did before. And the job is not in Indiana. Before I got my job I was condisering volunteering somewhere, like hospitals or free clinics. That way you could get clinical experience and show that you're a responsible and hardworking nurse. Then you'd have higher chances to be hired by that facility or any other place. I hope things will soon work out for you!
  2. The problem would be to find a Tech position having an RN license. It's a big liability for a hospital. Update: I found a great RN job!
  3. I definitely recommend getting some CNA or Student Nurse Extern experience while in school. It appears to be the dicisive factor in selection process right now. I graduated from Ivy Tech with honors and no previous hospital experience. I am having a hard time finding a job.
  4. NewAggieGrad09 Congratulations on getting the job! That's an awesome place to be a pediatric nurse. I am interviewing at this hospital this coming week. I would love to talk to you and ask you a couple of questions. Do you mind dropping me a quick note as I don't see an option of sending a PM on this web site. I would greatly appreciate it.
  5. SanCap, I noticed you recently started working at the Children's Hospital at their PICU. I am having an interview there and was wondering if you have any tips how I can get better prepared for the interview with the unit manager. Also, I was wondering what the format of the interview is. Is it scenario type questions or more like what, how, when etc...
  6. I am in Central Indiana, but looking all over...
  7. ufblondi, so is it true that they hire only BSN students?
  8. I am a new grad from Ivy Tech with an RN license. I have been looking for a job at Indiana hospitals with no luck whatsoever for several months already. Not even a phone call from a recruiter or an interview. I graduated on top of my class with a GPA of 3.92, but I do not have any hospital experience, which I am sure is hurting my chances to find a job right now. But, on the other hand, I am sure I am not the only RN graduate who was not working in a hospital during school. Has anyone else faced this problem? Any leads? Really love nursing, but just can't get in...
