147 questions later....
Thanks for all the good luck and congrats.... Sitting around waiting for the unofficial results is just a little more nerve racking than that actual test. @RNbrent- I don't think I can remember the last question. I did have series of SATA (4-5 in a row if I remember correctly) and a serious math problem right before it cut off.

147 questions later....
I took the NCLEX-RN today and completely thought I failed it. After two hours and half hours of testing, 147 questions, and many tears, I did the PVT trick and got the "good pop up." I still have my fingers crossed, and probably wont believe I passed till I get my license. Gee, it is soo weird. Now, all my studying time can be dedicated to .. CAN I SAY IT.. some fun and focus on finding a job. GOOD LUCK to all the February takers.. and then many to follow...

When to ask about medication questions?
It was always interesting to me when I found medication errors. I'm just about to finish in a couple of days. I can honestly say that some questions you have will be answered within time. One day, you will have the magical lightbulb and thinks just start clicking. When I was just starting in my first couple of clinicals, we had 8 students in our group. I had a couple of methods that kinda worked for me when I couldn't get to my instructor about a possible medication error or interaction--- Humbling befriend a nurse early on so when you ask a simple question, ask the nurse who is also assigned to my patient, call pharmacy, or simply just wait till your instructor is free. Good Luck and never be afraid to question an order even as a student!!!

Precepting in H***
Congrats on being on the last semester. I just started my preceptor yesterday. Of course, everyone experience is going to be different. In theory, it would be wonderful that you don't have to preceptor with the same nurses everyday. You have the opportunity to see other nurses methods, techniques, and tips. Today (my second day), It came to me that I'm going to be finish nursing school in a couple days. Luckily, my preceptor lets me have alot of autonomy and I take alot of initiative in care for my patients. You are not going to know everything. You are going to make mistakes. It's how you learn. Precepting is YOUR big transition from being a student to "real" RN. Yea, you are a student, but you are going to be taking boards and get your licensed soon. It was day 2. You can tell your school of the situation so that they are aware of the situation, and see what day three is like. It could be totally different. Since you are not going to be with the same person, try to see if there is someone who will take the time or work with you. I hope it helps!! Good luck with everything and hope it works out!!! :)

Does anyone get their books unbound?
Instead of unbinding the books, I try to buy e-books online. It is easy, light, and portable.
