  1. Do they still offer night classes once in program or is it just daytime?
  2. I took all my pre recs at Nassau, but decided to go for the bsn program instead since I already had 60 credits. good luck to everyone who applied.
  3. Thank you. I know it's just my fears taking over me. I can't wait to start clinicals. I know it is going to be tough but I know I can do it. I just have to have more faith in myself. thanks again.
  4. Student loans, that's what I'm doing.
  5. I am suppose to start nursing school in Jan. I worked really hard to get I to Ns. I just had baby #2 and I'm worried that it might be to much, all I've been hearing is how tough it is. I don't want to fail and get kicked out and since I have to take out student loans it scares me. Did anyone else get scared in the beginning.
  6. I would take the pre reqs at a community college and then transfer to a Bsn program. That's what I did and am doing. I know it's tough for new grads to getnjobs but I'm hoping in 2 years it will have gotten better. don't let anyone discourage you if you truly want to become a nurse. if you can pull an A or b+ in A&P then I think you should be okay. I had 60 credits and got all A's in pre reqs and had a 3.3 and I got in.
  7. Good luck to anyone waiting to see if they got in to ns. I sent in my application to ***** the beginning of this month for spring 2011. I am so nervous and I keep telling myself that I will get in. I just had a baby and am a sahm now so I really would want to get in.
  8. google GPA calculator. It has helped me. I am taking A&P1. I am really enjoying the course but its tough. A lot of studying. I have to really work hard to keep my GPA up as high as I can. I am hoping to apply to one school after Spring semester ends depending on how I did.
  9. I really screwed up in HS. I dropped out after my sophomore year. I got my GED. I went to CC. My grades we not horrible in College. I was going for Paralegal degree and almost done with the classes when I realized I didn't want it as a career. I always wanted to go into Nursing and am getting A's in my A&P class and working my butt off. Do you think I have a chance with a GED diploma? One of the schools wants a HS transcript also and this is scaring me.
  10. Nassau is very tough to get into. My friend got rejected with a 3.90 GPA. I am starting to get nervous about it but not done with all my Pre-reqs yet. Good Luck!!
