  1. I'm in San Jacinto, where do they do the classes at?
  2. Hello Everyone, Since our orientation is coming up very soon here, I was wondering what everyone is doing as far as insurance coverage. I am currently employed at a non-medical field position and I hope I can stay on part-time while in the program in order to keep my health benifits but I fear I wont have time. I was wondering if anyone knew of affordable heath coverage, since it is required for our program?
  3. Hi MarineWife09, I applied for cohort 33 (January 2013) and got in but differed till April. I know I was stressed out waiting to see if I was accepted so I know just how you all feel. I look forward to getting to know possible classmates and good luck to everyone. P.S Semper Fi from a former Marine Wife, My hubby got out in 2008.
  4. congrats everyone cant wait to join you all in April. Please keep incontact as you all will have a few months of experance on me.
  5. Actually cappuccinespresso and CaptCrzy, I wont be attending. I am deferring till the next cohort. We had an unexpected death in the family and my orientation fee went to cover some of the funeral costs. I cant collect the 2500 by the time orientation rolls around so I am going to wait till April which will give me enough time to have the funds without causing a burden on my family. Good luck all of you who got accepted. For those who didn't, don't be discouraged, I was denied my first try at NU but on my second try got in, keep trying to improve your teas and essay score.
  6. check your personal email thats where mine was, hope you got in.
  7. never-mind, I GOT ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. no email.....This is crazy how long we have been waiting
  9. well we should all be in final review about now.....its changed in my application status.
  10. well it finally changed from submitted to final review.....so anxious
  11. Hi JakeH, I also applied for the april cohort at NU in San Diego. I was so upset with my TEAS v score, I got an 67.3% which is not a very competitive score. It is so much harder than the TEAS iv, which I scored an 87.65%. I have all A's in the nursing core except a C in micro. My GPA is 3.78 but I am still worried that my application may not be strong enough. I talked to, she who will not be named, and she said willbe not get our essay scores until after we have fond out in we were accepted or died into the program. They say it is easyer to change the status of your application then to mail out ll the submitted essays. I plan on taking the teas again too to bump my score up and put in a lot of study time. I hope we both get in!!!!
  12. I applied to cohort 30 and no word from anyone...I think I am going to take the TEAS at CSUSM to see what i get if I'm not happy with my score I will do it again until I get at least a 85%. It cost 50 bucks each time but I am hoping I will only have to take it once and then turn in my score when NU gives me my test date.
  13. Planning to start studying the TEAS test soon does anyone have the book for V that they want to sell and or any idea what the essay question might be?
