  1. Unfortunately, waiting is a necessary evil in the application process. Be patient and the reward is worth the wait.
  2. There is no OCS.
  3. I would strongly disagree with this post based upon my experience and the experience of those I work with and have worked with.
  4. I am right there will you...I hope it is accurate!
  5. I truly hope this "trick" is accurate...I took the test this morning and feel like I failed awfully! I hit the refresh button repeatedly after I logged into Pearson until it said "Delivery Successful", then I logged out and tried the trick (6 times so far) and get the exact verbatim message that the instructions say would indicate a pass. I don't feel like I passed, but I am praying that by some stroke of luck this "trick" is correct so that I never, ever have to endure that test again.
  6. A long, hard bumpy ride that will be rewarding in the end.
  7. I PM'd you...and thanks for your reply!
  8. Anyone who has gone to OBC, can you tell me what uniforms are worn besides the khakis? Any BOP nurses who went to Glynco, can you tell me what is worn there and what the physical test is like? Thanks in advance!
  9. Khakis for graduation...what did you wear the rest of the time? Anybody go to Glynco? If so, what uniform do you wear there?
  10. I don't think you can get an ID until you get orders. I had to have a copy of my orders in my hand when I got my ID card.
  11. Mine is just a "from the head up" shot.
  12. No you do not.
  13. DEERS has nothing to do with shipment of HHG or moving, but, you do what to get your dependents enrolled in DEERS as soon as you can just to they will be eligible for benefits.
  14. Anyone able to answer questions for a SRCOSTEP going to BOP? :)
  15. I am an O1E and it is a pretty fair rate based upon my mortgage and utilities...I can't complain.
  16. Do you mean the EQip? It took me about 4 months to get my background check back (1 of them) but I had two being done at the same time...one from USPHS and one from BOP.
  17. Thanks for clarifying this :-)
  18. That is good to know that it cannot go down.
  19. SRCOSTEP student, graduating in May 2010 and going to work for BOP. I have 8 years previous military experience in the Army.
  20. Are the USPHS time in service requirements posted somewhere? How about education requirements for promotion? I have searched google to no avail. Thanks!
  21. It looks like BAH is going up in some places and going down in others...it seems to vary by rank too.
  22. For COSTEPs I think the commitment is 2 days for every day that you are a COSTEP.
  23. Thanks for your reply. They just told us in our srcostep meeting that bop nurses needed to buy service dress blue...sounded strange to me too but that is what they said. I am assuming (i know) that our day to day uniform will be governed by the warden of the location in which we are assigned. Just thought I would ask around. I see a list of locations that are on the usphs website that are always available...I wonder if these locations will be the ones I can choose from?
