How long does Woodhull hospital take to call after being hired in job fair??
I have an interview for woodhull's psych unit. Please what should I expect, and is there a pharmacology test after hire. Also, do they have 8hr or 12hr shifts? Any help would be much appreciated.

Has anyone attended Suny Delhi's online RN-BSN program?
Do you have to be an RN for a year to be accepted in this program?

Anyone working night shift and going to school
Hi @teelatice, I read one of your previous posts about ub's 1 yr rn/bsn online program. Are you currently enrolled? And if so, how is the program working out for you. I am seriously considering this program, but there is little to no info on this program on allnurses. Pls, your reply will be greatly appreciated.

Center of Allied Health and Nursing Education
I absolutely disagree with u, i just passed my exit on the first try... out of 18 of us, 15 passed. So if u had a hard time in the school, speak for urself. Ofcourse the school is challenging, but that is like any other lpn sch or rn sch out there. U certainly cannot expect teachers to spoon feed u. They have some wonderful teachers that are willing to help if u seek their help. And about teachers collecting bribe, dat sounds absolutely absurd. With all due respect, pls do not misdirect the ppl trying to do something valuable for themselves. I worked absolutely hard in The Center For Allied and i passed my exit on the first try. Am so anybody else that works just as hard as i did will be able to attain the same goal. Afterall i dont have five heads. The sch sets their exit exam standards higher than most school's out there. we all hated that idea, but know we all appreciate it, knowing that passing the exit gives u an 80% chance of passing ur boards. So whoever is attempting the center for allied, i say go for it, and put ur game face on.

Center of Allied Health and Nursing Education
Just to add to all of this, I currently attend the center for allied, And i am almost done with my classes, js1979lpn i understand where you are coming from, but i just want u to also know that alot of things has changed since u left. ALOT of people have been passing their exits, and the exit is harder than the NCLEX, but it is designed to motivate u. If the exit wasnt so tough to the point that it made u study so hard, the NCLEX that u passed would have been totally difficult for u. They are basically preparing ur mind not only for the exit, but also for the NCLEX. And if u struggled and passed, why shouldnt another person be able to do it. I don't think its a good thing to discourage people, if anything, let them know it is absolutely difficult, but POSSIBLE. Afterall u made it through. And i do know people that passed their exits and also their nclex with no problem. The school has encorporated new things that is really helpful. And by the way, No LPN program is easy, Nursing is not easy. So whoever wants to go to The center, i say go; but you have to be very motivated. Am sure the same goes for any other LPN school in the whole of the country, or else it will be considered BAD TRAINING!

it was like every other basic placement test, and acceptance wasnt lengthy. Go to sch's website and get the phone number, call them and they will gladly explain everything 2 u.

Center of Allied Health and Nursing Education
A friend of mine dat currently goes to the skool told me. Am guessing if u go under a certain grade and fail certain exams, u can be dismissed. The gold is for us to just think positive and not let those types of things scare us. And plus they r gonna give us those details at the orientation.

Hi hbunny19, thanks for replying this post. Do u have any advice on a studying pattern? Like how often do u study, and for how long. Also do u take notes in class, or just follow thru wit the text book.

i kno, i heard how it possible to get all the way to the third trimester and get kicked out if you fail certain portions of the course. But let's not think of that, we need positive energy. And we gonna have to come up wit a pattern of studying daily
