  1. took my test in Vienna, Virginia...but I have heard that most states immediately post licenses...maybe you could check their website and do a license lookup....wishing you luck, know that the wait is torture!
  2. Just checked the board of nursing website for a license lookup, and guess what? MINE WAS THERE!! I am so excited! And glad that all the worry is over :chuckle :smiley_aa  :yelclap:
  3. I took boards today, the computer shut off at 85 and I honestly have no idea if I passed or failed. I have heard that that is a good sign, but I have no idea. Has anyone gotten that and failed? Them personally not someone they know....I feel sick like I am gonna barf, and I am in VA and it is not a quick result state!!! :uhoh21:
  4. I live in Virginia Beach, I have worked at Norfolk General (Sentara) for the last 2 years, and I chose to drive an hour each way to school to go to Obici. Obici has a small program that only admits 25 each year. The faculty really cares about you as a person, and clinicals are done in many facilities, not just at Obici. Obici's program is also 1/2 or less the cost of the other programs. I know several people who have either gone to Sentara or Medical Careers Institute and they all say they wish that they had gotten half of the education that I have. I would recommend the program without reservations. I am graduating in 8 days! And I am proud to be a Obici grad!
  5. I remember the day that they told us about good old "bath day". I was mortified, I could not believe that they could make you do that! But as it turned out, we all enjoyed. It was relaxing, a nice break from the hard studying that you will undoubtably be doing...and just think, it won't be any worse than "injection day"......... *****LPN grad February 2005 *********
  6. My CNA instructor through the local community college was only on LPN, and I do not live in a small area...I think it depends on what they feel that you are capable of doing.
  7. I work at NG now as a Care Partner and as a general rule Sentara is a good company to work for. They offer alot of great benefits and offer a good deal of flexability. But as with all hospitals there is a certain amount od "politics" and that can be discouraging.
  8. i am a new nursing student through obici hospital, graduating lpn in feb. 2005. i am both exited and nervous, how about everyone else?
