hi-- i just wanted to say that i hope things get better for you. is their anyway you can move closer, even 25 or 30 minutes closer to your old hospital? at least you and your husband would both live in between your jobs. just a thought! PS--I'm sure they'd want you back!

hi, one of my close friends got them. she was maybe a small a to begin with and now she's a full b. she has a small frame and prob would have looked silly with anything bigger. i just called her and asked her about this question--she said go for it. she wish she would have sooner. she said she got saline and under the muscle. good luck. she said it was the best 5 grand she'll ever spend.

hi, i, myself, am not a career or job hopper either. however, i just made a huge change. what i was doing, just didn't "feel right" to me. it was hard to make that change, but it was worth it. i don't have my bsn, but i would imagine that doing rn and lpn work is much different. good luck. not to worry, eventually you'll find your way

ps----i'd pick boston, over NY...but that's just me also--in the dc, maryland, virgina area the nurses make the most cash of any of the states in the US. (of course, they're not as cool to live in as boston!):)

Hi, If you're asking how long it would take to get your BSN then it kind of depends. 1. If you have nursing preq courses---microbiology, anatomy, etc. then you can try and enter an accelerated program. Those take about 12 to 16 months. you can also take a path called the traditional program. this will take 2 years. 2. If you don't have the preq courses, it could take you about 3-4 years. If you don't understand what I mean, feel free to ask :)

trama--- what type of msn program are you in? thanks! (just curious about what how people are going about their education.......) ps--did you have another degree when you entered the field?

oh jeez, i hope that nurses don't have a higher divorce rate than those in other careers. just another thing for me to worry about as i look at career professions!

hi---- i just wanted to give you an "it's okay". i'm young too and only graduated a few years ago from undergrad. i'll difficult, knowing what you want. seeing the connection between what i want and how damn hard i'm going to have to work to get it is a WHOLE challenge in and of itself. as you learn what the reality of different career paths are, you'll find your way!

many of the nursing schools i've been looking at have the following requirements: 2.75-----for the traditional option 3.0---for the accelerated these are just the minimums to apply, you'll need a higher gpa to actually get in.

HI, My undergrad is in psych too and i'm considering going back from for a BSN (I graduated a few years ago). You can just take your req's at a community college, but make sure you kick butt on those classes. Look on the websites of the hospitals near you. If you wanted to just utilize your degree in order to at least be in a hospital, you could always be a "mental health counselor" on a psych ward. Good Luck!
