  1. Guess what? I don't do the task they wanted performed. It's that simple. I don't tolerate it. Sure, they can be crappy when I ask a question. That's their prerogative. It's also my prerogative not to get that test done that I was asking about. You do realize that failing to "get the test done" can have repercussions not only to your patient but to you. You can be written up for ignoring a doctor's order.

  3. I work in surgery. We had a 80 something little lady on our table for a local cystoscopy. I had prepped and draped her then the young good looking urologist sat between her legs which where in stirrups. Then she raised up on her elbows and told him, "You'er the cutest thing I've had between my legs in years." We all about died laughing while he turned beet red and sputtered "thank you." :rotfl:

  5. I understand that JAHCO is now requiring some sort of log. I am a travelling RN and every hospital that I have worked required an implant to logged. Some were using a computerized version, others a paper trail, one for the chart and one for a log book.
  6. A Health Surragate can be any one that you designate. As long as they are of legal majority.
  7. I guess I didn't quite get the joke.... sometimes I wonder if I have the intellect to make it in the 21st century! LOL Chris this is funny if you are a geek and a fan of the Lord of the Ring. That is what the joke is in reference to. So don't be hard on yourself, there is always someone else ready to do that for you.
  8. Go for it. If you need to work, train as a CNA then get your LPN> Continue on to your RN. As you work as a CNA you will see more first hand what we nurses do. I've worked in the Operating Rooms for over 20 years now. I started as an Operting Room Tech.and then put myself through school. But what ever way you get into nursing you will find a rewarding field with a lot of different options. :)
