I want to be a LPN. I stink at math and not very good taking the entrance exam. How do I find information so I score high on the entrance test?

I personally think its changing. I am a male CNA, but I still find some discrimination.

Thanks Purple I thought that too not into tablets anyway going with a chromebook cheaper.

I am wondering anybody using a tablet for school? Or should I just go with a chromebook?

I think its great that YOU finish the course that is a battle itself. I was in CNA class and had to retake the course because I let my CNA lapsed. Because I worked as a CNA for years and told a few students the instructor was mad and treated me like I should have said anything she had favorites too. Do not let her ruin what you accomplish go to graduation and get that pin there is your award.

My heart tell go for the lpn degree but I was curious about Occupational therapist asst. But after weighting the pros and cons think I going for the lpn I love being a cna and think the LPN would be a better fit for me plus in this state Oklahoma a little over a year you can graduate and start working. I am not looking to be the boss just looking to be a nurse.

I want to do nursing think I do part of me wants to do occupational therapy asst. I more toward nursing though either LPN or two nursing programs. anybody have any thoughts?

No matter who it doctor nurse whatever every one deserve respect. I hate doctors they seem to think they are above it all You didn't deserve this and I think you should report it.

Schwabee524 I disagree with you about nasty ass comment as a CNA you do more then just that. Plus being around other nurses and health care professionals you can pick up a lot of knowledge. Some nurses will even have you assist them with a procedure where you can gain practical learning experience

Once you get your RN could your agency put you to work as a RN? Then you would get your experience as well

I am a cna and would love to be a LPN going to school for it in the summer. I say if your happy being a nurse and that is what a LPN is a nurse then stay put. However if your not happy and can manage the family job and RN school and its your dream go for it dont let nothing stand your waY

I Worked in a nursing home where a LPN was ADON and how they did it was she ran all the CNA's and the DON a RN ran the nurses lpn's Rns but if need be the ADON would delegate to RN if she had to but for the most part the DON handled the RN's I also read in a local paper in KY where a CNA was ADON

Feelix but are the LPN trained to handle the role Don't they have to be trained to handle this take extra training? I would think so why would a facility risk the danger you have peoples lives to think about

I am a CNA and worked at a place where a LPN was a ADON and one of the best nurses I have worked with. She also directed the RN always fair I don't understand why people have such a power trip if the home thinks she can run the place go with it

I am planning on going to LPN school next year. My question this I just want to be a nurse and work in nursing home I like it I currently work as a CNA love it too but the pays really stinks where as an LPN I would earn more money doing more of what I love not looking to become a supervisor just a nurse are there other certifications I could earn though beside a RN degree?
