Taking NCLEX 3rd time, Help with Kaplan, Please.
It must be hard for you to failed nclex 2x, I myself failed it twice but passed nclex-rn on my 3rd attempt few weeks ago. I used Kaplan course online it took me 6 weeks to finished them. Make sure that if you decided to take Kaplan course, that you put 1000x effort into it, must watched all the content and videos that are in it because there are lots of information there that are really helpful. Then you must focus on infection control, pharmacology, and prioritization/delegation type of questions. By the way on my 3rd attempts i passed nclex-rn with 75 questions. Good luck to you hope you pass on your 3rd attempt.

Best study guides
I used Complete Kaplan course online. It is $500. I also have the Kaplan book 2010 I paid $25. The Kaplan course tells you a lot of information that you need to know in answering nclex-rn type of questions. the 2010 edition of Kaplan book only tells you small portions of Kaplan course online.

I recommend Kaplan. I used Kaplan and I passed with 75 questions. It is expensive but it's worth it.

NCLEX Blues
I took Kaplan online course for my 3rd attempts because I was so desperate to pass the nclex-rn and I passed with 75 questions. I didn't really have the money either but I charged it in my credit card, for me it all well worth it that I finally beat the nclex. However some people used Kaplan and didn't work for them.

study materials? any suggestions will be highly appreciated
I also I took Kaplan course online and passed with 75 questnions. It was my 3rd attempts, I watched the content and questions review it helps me alot on how to answer nclex questions. If I didn't take this course I probably still be going to re-take #4. However for some reason Kaplan course doesn't work for everybody, some people took it and still failed. But in my opinion if you follow the course direction you will pass the nclex.

How long did your ATT take to come in the mail/ e-mail?
It's all depend on how your BON process the authorization to test and if you send all your completed application forms, I am from California, got mine less than one hour through email after I registered through pearsonvue.
-
What time does PearsonVue post results?
No need to worry if the trick won't let you re-register. The trick is 100% true, you should be celebrating. Congratulations.

I passed nclex-rn on my 3rd attempts and here is how i did it.
Hi first of all i would like to thank everyone for their advised encouragement during my ordeal, I was beginning to think that i may not be able to passed nclex-rn. I have so many sleepless nights, I cried many many nights thinking how I'm I going to pass this test but with perseverance and prayers I did it and I thank god for it. So for those of you who are about to take or retake their nclex believe in-yourself and ask god for help and he will help you. Remember god helps those people who help themselves. OK here is how I passed nclex-rn. My First attempt: I used saunder's book and kaplan book 2010 edition. My school has high pass rates, so I was pretty confidence that I was going to pass the test and I am also an LVN so I felt like I knew enough to pass the test. I studied for a month answers all the questions on saunders book and kaplan memorize lab values and took the test I have decided that I am going to take my time because it worked for me before when I took LVN board I passed with minimum questions. So I took my time answering questions I answered 185 questions and run out of time, the results I failed. I was very disappointed because I have a job already at the hospital where I worked and I had to tell them that I failed the test I was a little embarrassed by it and I felt like I lost my dignity. My second attempt: I used saunder's and kaplan book again, nclex 3500 plus I used priority and delegation book by Lacharity because I failed this category in nclex. I studied about 6 hours a day for 6 weeks. I focused on my weakness areas, this time I studied harder than my first attempts. This time I have decided to read faster about 1 minute per/question don't want to run out of time again, I answered 238 questions but I still run out of time. When I got home my husband tried the pearson view trick because I am to scared to do it and I went all the way to cc page again. I can see the disappointment again on my husband face, I felt like all I do was disappoint him. I was crushed to leaned that I failed again, I was very depressed for few days. My 3rd attempt; I decided to change my strategy this time. Don't want to fail again, I tried to stay positive and asked god to help me pass my nclex. This time I have decided to spend $500 on Kaplan online course, and I also enrolled in 5 weeks NCSBN course online $69. I didn't used suanders this time because their questions are easy but I used it for content instead. Kaplan test is just like the nclex format, I studied for 6 to 8 hours a day for 6 weeks. I am very focus this time, I answered 150 to 200 questions a day and review each questions even if I got them right, I watched all the content and review questions, plus I read the book that came with it, let me tell you their strategy is very good sometimes I get bored because I felt like I already knew all these stuff. but let me tell you all the videos had something that I never knew before and I believe I learned so much on how to choose the correct answer, what not to choose on the answer choices the videos will tell tell you all about it you have to be patience watching it. Few days before my test I felt like I am ready to take the test again hoping it would be the last time. I made sure I have my infection control memorized, most common medications side effects and the effectiveness of medications. Which patient would you see first type of questions: Let me give you an example, patient with chronic disease should be seen last such as COPD, Ventilator dependent patient. I always think about ABC's, when answering questions Maslow and patient safety. The day of my nclex test , I slept well a night before then I woke up, I had a light brain food for breakfast, I went to my testing center confident but still a little nervous, I started at 8:00 am and I decided to take my time again, I read questions twice and very carefully, after 2 hours and half, 75 questions my computer shuts off . In that moment I knew I passed because at the beginning I was getting hard questions, I had a dozens of SATA, NO meds calculations, probably 40% of my test was medications type of questions, 30% are infection control questions, I also had a lots of delegation/prioritization type of questions. I went home and tried the PVT it would not let go to cc page. October 5, 2009 the day I became officially an RNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN. I hope this will help others to ease their anxiety of taking nclex.

I failed NCLEX-RN, should I retake kaplan again?
Other things that I did was, when I did all the questions I review them whether i get them right or wrong not just the wrong ones. I made flash cards on all the common and or major diseases ( example: DKA vs. HHNDS, Diabetes insipidus vs. SIADH, Cushing syndrome vs. Addison's disease, hypothyroidism vs. hyperthyroidisn etc.... must know the sign&symptoms of these diseases), I also focus on infection control, I made a list on all the diseases that are contacted via airborne, made a list on all diseases contacted via droplet precautions etc...most of all , I watched the pharmacology videos and made flash cards on all most common medications out there and memorized the side effects of them. If these didn't work for you, maybe Kaplan is not for you. I wish you the best of luck, you will beat nclex soon. Hang in there.

What are your qtrainer and qbank scores? did you completed all of it? did you watched all the content and question review videos and read the book that came with it? I took kaplan and that's what i did and i passed the nclex-rn with 75 questions.
