Thank you!!! Keep doing those Kaplan questions. They will prep you for the NCLEX EXAM. STAY POSITIVE!!! Do 100 questions/day. I also did 265 once per week. (The day before three 265 questions, I would relax and not focus on anything nclex lol, as if it was the real exam!!) And time yourself, that's very important!!! Lot's of praying!! I'm wishing you the best of luck!!! Btw, the RN RESIDENCY ER POSITION is completely awesome!!!!! Feels incredible to have RN letters behind my name!!! Yipppeeee!

Congrats!!!! I Took the Nclex RN Friday August 15. DID THE PVT right after exam and got the "GOOD" pop up!!! waiting for actual results hopefully Monday!!!

just starting excelsior after a long decision of how to free up time pursuing my BSN. Please any tips on cheap book purchases and classes to start first! need all the advice I can get! I am a LPN so hopefully I will be able to fit right in!

OMG! I am a RRT but I have LPN (3 years) experience. I am presently in lpn to bsn program DSU. I was in the program in NYC but due to relocation that was enevitable I am starting over again. was interested in doing excelsior. Spoke to representative, who always makes it sounds so easy. But I want to hear from you, us, the students. I have another colleague who is doing it now and he finds it extremely difficult. Very wordy, more than the actually sit in classes I have attending for nursing. anyone in the area interested in studying together and getting thru this time in our lives? :clapnurse:

future nurse 2011 is right. I never heard of LIU having a bad reputation. I give you praise :bowingpur: for getting thru the program. That seems to be the major line that im hearing...many get in, but few survive! Im in the class starting next month. I think Im ready once again to give my life up for my future....wish me luck and stay in contact...I may need some support! and CONGRATS ON YOUR RECENT GRADUATION!!!!

Well, im sure by now you know your answer to the above question. I hope by now you have taken the hesi a2. I took and passed mines today. I have been accepted into the accelerated class as well start in June 2011! I see advisement Monday morning and I guess all i have left to say is let the gammmmes begin!

you have to go to speak to nursing advisor on the 4th floor in the health blding and explain your situation. You information is probably sitting in limbo between LIU's new and old systems. That was the hold up for me. I was already accepted in the program, but they couldnt find my bsn in the new system....guess where it was:eek: in the old system! What's so ridiculous about it...I got my BS from LIU... crazy! Going forward, I was sent back and forth between LIU nursing advisement and admissions. Finally, after a little agression...I scheduled for the hesi a2 test (took and Passed it today!!!) Since then I have been admitted into the nursing accelerated program and Monday I get my class schedule ! Don't give up, show them that you are a determined to be a part of their nursing program! good luck!!!

Hello, yes, I have applied to the Accelerated BSN at LIU. and yes you have to take the hesi A2. I took mines today and passed!!! I only had 3 hours of sleep, craming it at Hunter college Library...whom i give thanks for all the free sweet treats and staying open for 24hours :cheers: !!! Now I can relax and see advisement Monday morning and I'm on ready for the 15month ride!! I took a chance and left a 2 yr nursing program, where I was in my 3rd semester to attempt this program! SO LONG BMCC ASN...I'VE MOVED TO BIGGER AND BETTER THINGS!!! YES

hi dbaker, congrats on your recent graduation!! i was shock to know there was an accelerated program! i just learned today just by calling in. WOW!!!! ok, I send Ms. Mendoza an email. My case is weird, I started the Nursing ASN program somewhere else in cuny. but know im elgible for the accelerated bsn. any pointers you can give me or possibly send me an im.
