I never felt ready for the test but I was getting the same scores you are. I also used Prentice Hall & Saunders b/c my Kaplan expired and it really helped me. I also used the NCLEX 3500 online. I searched forums and someone actually referred the Prentice Hall. It was a great reference when I was going through my kaplan book and was more detailed. I would refer people to these two books if they didn't want to pay all that money for kaplan.

Just because you didn't stop at 75 questions doesn't mean that you failed. Did you try the pearson vue "trick"? Honestly, it takes away a lot of anxiety. I was very skeptical about it but it works! It took the ca brn 11 days to post my results!!! I took my test on the 10th and got about 90 questions, 10 sata, 12 meds, and 3 calculations. in kaplan my instructor told us that math was below passing, so i was really worried about passing. it took so long to release my results b/c the ca brn didn't have my ssn on file but once i gave it to them they posted my name and i passed.

bodz01 congrats!!! i was losing faith and was expecting to receive the envelope in the mail saying i failed, but i faxed it on thursday and got my results friday! aleena23they told me to write my name, file #, my ssn, and write please add my ssn to my file. I also included my signature and date that i faxed it. kessthairn nothing yet?? denela819 it takes 3-10 business days and the ca brn is closed every 1st, 2nd, and 3rd friday of every month. try checking in on tuesday or wednesday, but maybe try calling and make sure that your file is complete.

The trick wooooorks!!! 11 days after taking the boards my name popped up on the ca bon website!!!! Yaaaaaayyyy!!!

I just faxed my ssn on the 20th and I checked the web and IM AN RN!!!! I'm sooooo happy!!!!!

Dina, Sorry to say this, but from what I've heard from the trick, if it takes you to the credit card page it's most likely you didn't pass. But nothing is official until you receive your results in the mail. I know my friends who didn't pass were really depressed, but there is ALWAYS HOPE! We've gone through nursing school and there's only one more thing that we have to do before we become RNs. Don't let not passing the first time stop or discourage you!!! There's a thread about someone didn't pass until their 5th time. If you did fail, they will send a performance critique on what areas you were strong in and what you need to improve on. And at least you know what to expect the second time around so your anxiety level won't be as high. I wish you the best of luck!

Vicky, My friend took it for the second time Friday the 14th and found out she passed yesterday. For your friends who are still waiting for results, maybe try calling the BON and see if anything is wrong with their file. That's what happened to me. I had to fax my ssn cuz they "didn't have it on file" even though I included it in my application so they can't release my scores until that's entered and your name definitely wouldn't show up on the BON website. Hope that helps.

Silverdragon102, So I called the BON and they DON'T have my ssn on file!!! !#^@#&$^%@&^%!!!!!!! So I have to fax over my ssn and it's going to take until NEXT WEEK to get my results!!! At least there's some anxiety lessened from that...

Don't worry, I just called BON and they said that my SSN isn't on file either!! I've been waiting an agonizing 9 days and FINALLY!!! they tell me there's something wrong. The lady was very kind and said I just have to fax a copy of the front cover and I should get results by NEXT WEEK! (since they're closed on Fridays now). I've waited long enough, the PVT still works and I just want some resolution and be able to sleep throughout the night w/o waking up at 3am, 5am, and 7am checking the website! The lady also told me to make the fax ATTN: Leshell just in case. Just like HIPPA, double check the fax number BEFORE you hit send! Hopefully we'll know soon!!!

silverdragon102, shouldn't the brn have our ssn (social security #) from our application (for the live scan service)?? when i sent in my application and request for an ip, i included it. i'll give the brn tomorrow and see if there's anything wrong with my file.

jerzie0820, i also took the test on the 10th, still getting the pop-up and still no word. a friend of mine took hers on the 14th and got her results today! so frustrating, isn't it!! i haven't been able to sleep throughout the whole night since taking the test. so far on the pvt forum, those who went to the cc page failed and haven't seen anything on someone failing when getting the pop-up. i guess all we can do is wait. hopefully we'll receive word soon and we can congratulate each other =)

zayuhkay, did you receive results in the mail or did you check the website? i've checked the website every day and nothing. i don't get why some people get results via BRN website while some have to wait for the mail. a classmate of mine took it for the 2nd time on friday and got her results today and she passed. what's up with that?

nothing on the website yet...it's been 6 days!! one person replied to me on a different thread saying that it took ca brn 11 days to post her results. maybe i'll try calling the brn and see if they've received all my stuff. i don't see why they wouldn't, i graduated earlier in the year. *sigh*

yeah, mine said something about not letting me register because of a previous appointment. as long as you don't go to the credit card page you should be ok.

kessthairn, i took the boards on the 10th and i haven't received my results either. i tried the trick about 2 hours after the test and got the infamous pop up. i keep trying the trick every day and it still get the pop up. i wonder why some people get their results in the minimum 3 days, while we have to wait even longer!!!! so frustrating!
