  1. Oh well...I didn't get in. It's okay though because I really figured my not having taken Math yet would be a negative. I'll try again next time.
  2. I've just found out that notifications have been mailed & that we should know 'any day now'! I'm considering stalking my mailman!! Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure I'll either not be accepted or be on the waiting list due to a math issue. Either way, I want to know now!!
  3. Middle Georgia College....I should know in the next 2 weeks. If I survive that long!!
  4. I am 37 with 4 kids and am finishing up with Micro this quarter. I was petrified as well because it had been so long since I was in school! Looks like everyone has given you GREAT advice because I did everything they said to get through my A&Ps. I took pics of lab models, made copies of diagrams in our text, used white-out on the labels, and made multiple copies so I could diagram on my own. This helped tremendously! Our text had an awesome website & I googled online quizzes. Good luck!
  5. My point exactly! I feel 20 years older than I am because I work full-time and I'm a divorced mother of 4 daughters! I have to admit, my girls do help me study sometimes. I make flash cards & it's a hoot watching my 8 year old twins trying to pronounce some of the terms!
  6. Thanks everyone...I hate the 82 in Math, but I'm old & can't even begin to remember the last time I had to convert pints, oz, gallons, etc...!
  7. No one here by that name! I've heard the TEAS & the NET are both more difficult than the HESI if it makes you feel better!
  8. Thanks. They wouldn't give us a printout!
  9. I just took the HESIa2 this morning. My grades were all good expect Math! I don't have access to the cumulative grade yet, my these were my individual scores: Grammar 96 Reading 93 Vocab 88 Math 82. Does anyone know if they average scores like normal which would be a 91, or if one section outweighs another? Thanks!
  10. I started Micro this past Monday with one of my favorite teachers. We're using Microbiology: A Systems Approach. McGraw-Hill has an awesome website for their books! Online tests, animations, you name it...
  11. Oh, that's good to know! I'll be sure to check before I send them.
  12. Thanks guys. I thought it was odd that the 2 nursing programs that I'm applying to only have very simple applications so I guess I'll send my letters in after I complete the app!
  13. I'm curious if anyone has submitted a letter of reference with their nursing application and whether you thought it was helpful. I currently work for a well-known sleep lab and both the district manager (BA) and our medical director (he's a neurologist and is board-certified in sleep) have given me letters. I also thought about asking one of my professors for one. Thanks!
  14. I only have 2 schools near me that offer the ADN, so I'm applying to both of them this month. They both have pretty much the same pre-reqs, but both require different entrance exams.
  15. I, too, would really appreciate the HESI a2 study guide!
