  1. There is no easy way to take a failure.. and although it's just a word "failure" take it as such.. you have gotten through what I think the hardest part is of nursing.. and thats the schooling. I don't know if anyone agrees with me but the schooling was crazy.. all those late nights.. clinical hours... etc.. this is just another test for you.. just because you failed this test that does not mean that it is an accurate representation of who you are. I'm sure that you are determined and are stronger than you're giving yourself credit for. I know it's upsetting and it is. But think about it.. this is not like the schooling.. although you're going to be a little (emphasis on little) bit delayed.. it's not like you failed out of nursing school... you have multiple chances to take the exam again and beat its butt and you will... keep the faith... prayer helps to sooth the soul during distress.... YOU WILL PASS THIS TEST.. it's just a matter of time is all...
  2. Just like mostly everyone said get the 4th edition cause of the more updated stuff.. i would suggest the kaplan nclex review also.. use the saunders for questions and knowledge and use the kaplan for strategy on answering all types of questions... the book has a cd too for a practice test...
  3. Good luck... i mean think about it.. if you don't know it by now.. well i'm just saying.. GOOD LUCK!
  4. I took this test the first time last monday 7/13 and it was crazy hard.. i mean i was calm but it was just hard like nothing i have ever taken before and i walked out just like everyone else thinking that i failed too.. took the test at 8.. finished at like 930.. was drunk before 12noon... i would never wish that feeling on ANYONE.. but thankfully i passed too... Congrats to you for being able to make it!!! You're a very strong and determined person to be able to take the test multiple times.. and finally you got your just rewards ;o) isn't it awesome... THANK GOD!!!! WOOP WOOP!!!
  5. That is so awesome!!!!!!!!! KEEP THE FAITH and CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!
  6. If you think about it it's logical... why would they let you register again for a test that you already passed.. from the posts on this thread.. i think it's like 99% accurate that if you get the pop up (of course this is only after the status of delivery is confirmed) you passed and if the site allows you to register for the test and go all the way to the credit card information than you probably failed... not to lose hope but objectively this is something that makes sense... and by the way it did work for me too... got the pop up and found out that i passed 48 hours after taking the test... there were also previous posts that indicated that they had called pearsonvue and the "trick" has been confirmed by the representatives on the phone. So for those that do try it and get the pop-up you surely passed.. for those that did not... it's an ominous sign... good luck to everyone going to take the test and congratulations for those that passed.. for those that didn't.. don't give up hope.. remember that this is just another trial that you can face head on and come out on top it's just a matter of time.. prayer helps a lot to sooth nerves and strengthens your hope and there's no harm in praying... ;o)
  7. well she said break it down right???
  8. I wish i could say something that would make everyone going through this trial feel better but i can't and i won't... all i know is that there are dozens probably even more people than you know that are going through the same thing. I was shocked when i found this site and saw all the comments about NCLEX and i do feel the same way. I realized that I was not alone. There are people that share in my agony and despair in the very crucial moment in our lives... I would say if you are a religious person and christian.. and believe in God, then keep the faith.. i know it's hard right now and it's all part of this experience.. don't lose sight of your original goal which is to be a nurse.. no matter the outcome.. there will be a time when you will be able to have a sigh of relief...
  9. is there more info about this question? seems kinda lacking parts or at least the doses are kinda wacked... i'll try to answer it to the best of my ability but if anyone else has a better explanation please correct me if i'm wrong... as far as the math is concerned grains equal either 65mg or 60 depending on where you look. according to your problem, order 5mg every minute on hand 3grain in 500ml solution. what is the ml/hour so if it's 5mg q min i suggest getting the mg/hr so multiply by 60 (5mg x (60minutes/1hr)) = 300mg/hr... then you have on hand 3grain in 500 ml... you need to calculate the mg first... so you got 3 grains depending on the source it can either be 65mg or 60mg per grain so just for the purpose of this example we'll use 65mg = 1 grain. 3 grains x 65mg = 195mg total in a 500ml solution. now that you have that you can do this... 300mg/hr x (500ml/195mg) = 769.230 or 769 ml/hr..... i know that sounds a bit high but it's only a 500 ml fluid and if you divide that by 60 it's more like 12.82 or 13 ml/min. hope that helps... again if anyone spotted something wrong please just correct me cause i'm not really good at this posting stuff...
