Where To Begin...AGAIN!! 😩😩
So I haven't been using this website as well has I should have but I feel it's time that I start. So I am an LVN graduate but that's as far as I go. I graduated in 2009 (yes that long ago) & took the NCLEX twice & failed both times. I just got so discouraged & went bck to school then applied to be a CNA & I've been working as an CNA since 2013. But I feel that my time as an CNA is over & I'm ready to try the NCLEX again. I knw I'll need a lot of refreshing to do since a lot has probably changed between 2009 & now. What are some tips & advice that you guys would suggest I do? Thanks

Announce that you passed your CNA exam here!
I passed the Written on 7/13/12 & the Skills on 8/7/12. Now I'm just waiting for my license number to show up on the CDPH in California.

CA CNA Skills Exam Testing Site
Yeah I took it at the San Bernardino one. They didn't seem too strict. They just wanted to have what we needed (pens, pencils, required paperwork & lunch). They didn't really allow us to take breaks tho.

CA CNA Skills Exam Testing Site
The testing seemed pretty chilled. If you were re-taking the skills portion you went 1st, while the others took the written portion. We only hand to actually wash our hands once & during the skills we would verbalize the times when handwashing would be done. At the end of each skill we were given the opportunity to verbally correct any mistakes we think we made.

I failed the portion of when I had to use the gait belt. The RN said it wasn't "tight enough." I have not rescheduled yet bc idk if I have to wait a certain amount of time. But I have called the American Red Cross ppl & I'm waiting for them to call me bck.

CA CNA Skills Exam Testing Site
Hello out there. To coldcasejustice & oc_angel... I passed the written!!! :) But not the skills. The written was only 60 multiple-choice questions. The skills I had were Handwashing (only 1 actual time) during rest of skills I just had to verbalize when I would wash my hands. Other skills was Blood Pressure, Transfer patient w/ Gait Belt & Dressing Patient w/ Contracted Arm. Be sure the instructor can hear you, it tends to be loud at times. -Good luck!!!!

Hello all nursing students/graduates & experienced nurses. I graduated from my LVN program in Aug. 09 & have already took & failed the NCLEX twice before. So Ive decided to take a step back and do CNA to get more into the atmosphere of nursing & to hopefully gain more experience. But my question is do I have to actually do CNA training/classes or is there some type of test I can take to become an CNA since I already have training for LVN?-Thank you for your feedback.

Pearsonvue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 3
Thanks to all who helped answer my question. So I took my NCLEX-PN exam 10/21/2011 and the official results letting me know that I failed AGAIN came today, 10/26/2011 . Yeah that was quick but at least I dont have to wait anymore. Now I just dont know where to begin AGAIN for the 3rd. Im seriously debating with myself if I even want to take it again. But to those who are still waiting good luck & to those who passed :ancong!:
