  1. Dear KCmedic,Thank you so much for your response. Truly appreciate your encouraging words and advices. I'm feeling a bit relieved now thanks to you. :]And I'm sure you'll do great on your finals!
  2. hi KCMedic, i'm going to be attending CSUB's BSN program this coming fall. was hoping you'd be able to share how the program has been for you so far. have there already been dropouts in your year(been getting worried at that thought.. !)? i really don't know what to expect. i just know that it's going to take a lot of dedication and that i'm determined to do what it takes! would appreciate your response back. thank you!
  3. i suppose it's comforting to know someone else is in a similar situation as you. :] great, that'll either be the worst/best birthday present ever for me. whatever happens, you have to keep your head up! just keep up your determination and remember why you're pursuing this.
  4. awesome, thank you for sharing! yes, i would've also faced a 5+ hour drive. i forget exactly how much my points came out to.. believe it was mid 60's. not a competitive score, really.
  5. no and i may be wrong, but i remember reading somewhere that if our decision to attend the university depends on our acceptance to the nursing program, then we do not have to register for an orientation and there are separate instructions. you shouldn't take my word, but i'm trying to get a hold of the NSO office right now.
  6. yup. i applied to a few for Spring along with Fall(preparing myself for the worst, i suppose)
  7. same here. and i hate getting the emails/mails congratulating us on our university admission, haha. i've applied to over 10 cal states for Fall '12. preparing to keep trying and trying. best of luck to you!
  8. not that they're accepting more. they're in the middle of going through the applications. have you applied to other programs for Spring/Fall '12?
  9. i called in yesterday asking about when we should expect to hear back from them and as someone had mentioned above, yes, sometime in December through mail. however, she did also mention that there have been so far 170+ applicants, which i'd imagine is a lot of applicants for a Spring semester.
  10. Oh, wait! I just read that you are currently a CSULB student. Very nice! Well, best of luck to you then. :)
  11. Not sure if you have already heard, but I just found out today and wanted to inform you while I'm here. This really sucks as I, too, was planning on applying next year: "Due to the continuing California budget crisis, CSUs are not accepting transfer applications for Spring 2010. Therefore, to be considered for Spring 2010 admission, applicants must be continuing CSULB students. The School of Nursing regrets that it will not be allowed to consider non CSULB students for the Spring 2010 admission cycle."
  12. To deliverator, Do you happen to have more information on the scholarships that Long Beach Memorial offers? Also, would you know anything about LBCC's transfer program(LBCC to CSULB)? Thanks a bunch!
  13. Hi Seyma, You said you started off at Cypress and are on your way to CSULB. I'm trying to figure out if going to a community college(adn then eventually bsn) as a back up plan would be a good idea(that is, if i don't get into CSULB's bsn program). I was hoping that you could please answer a few questions I have for you: Is 'time' the only con variable for first going to a community college (adn) and then transferring to another college to get your bsn? Does Cypress College have a 'transfer program' that can bridge you to a 'bsn/msn' program after getting your adn? Do you happen to know anything about Long Beach City College's nursing program or their 'transfer program'? Thank you so much!
  14. Hello all! I'm currently on my way to applying for nursing schools next year, and just realized that I don't know anything about the TEAS exam. I was hoping that anyone would please inform me about the exam, specifically about retaking it, the average score, and when should I begin to study for it? On a side note, I haven't taken any of my science prerequisites yet.. So, would it be best that I wait to take them first?..since I don't have prior knowledge and wouldn't be able to answer the questions for the science part of the exam. Thanks a bunch!
  15. hello! i'm sorry i don't have an answer to which is program is better, but i was wondering if you could please tell me your average GPA and exam score for when you applied to CSULA's program. thanks a bunch!
