  1. Thanks ! I will look into the details!
  2. Hi MrChicagoRN........ I would like for the school to be close to me...it does not have to be online and I need it to be the as economical as possible! :-)
  3. Don't feel alone. Most nurses will not admit to you that they felt the same way or worse! I did feel like a dummy with a lot of knowledge in my head and no safe way to question how i could apply it. You will find someone you can trust to ask questions and bounce ideas off of. Do NOT give up! ! ! Remember the reasons you chose Nursing and find a way to re-inspire yourself. That is easier said than done. I had to do the same........
  4. Hi i'm a 2yr nurse and 2nd career nurse ! ! ! I am ready to start my Master's Level Training and don't want to go back to my Bachelor's School since I already have 2 Bachelor's from that School. I am soliciting feedback on ONLINE Master's Programs.... What's best about the programs any of you have taken...... 1. Most economical? 2. Most user Friendly ??? 3. Best interactions???????????? Thanks for any information you are willing to share.
  5. You're NEVER too old! Stay focused
  6. Hey everyone! I'm in Winston-Salem.... my hometown 2nd career nurse and struggling to find the right fit ! Suggestions are welcome
  7. MOVE ON! The fact that you had 3 preceptors is enough to shake your confidence! I am a 12 month nurse and have had 3 FT jobs! ..... in 12months I hate the way they kick new grads around and then expect you to know what has taken them 15 - 20 yrs to KNOW! Please move on and don't let evil, disgruntled, bitter nurses take your dream! that's what I'm doing.......... continuing to search until I can find the right fit and the right team!
  8. Don't be ashamed.......! I am a 14 month nurse with the same fears and concerns about myself. It's not always easy to find someone to trust and ask for help. You learned from that experience ... there will be more!
  9. Cute ! THANKS FOR SHARING !
  10. ................ I have to do 3 in a row while working with my preceptor but at the end of September I will go to nights and SELF scheduling and believe it I will rarely do 3 in a row ! Thanks for your response !!!!
  11. I am a new nurse ..... since july 11 and I am just now beginning to adjust to the physical exertion of staff nursing. Does anyone have any tips? I wear support hose and good shoes, so I feel ok but after 3 - 12hr shifts I feel so worn out it just makes me feel like I won't last 20yrs I have also started the Master's Level nursing program. I'm only taking one course per semester just to keep my mind sharp while I decide what area I want to earn my Master's level degree. It's like some wild SAGA.................hmmmm Thanks for any tips!
  12. I view " hard " as something you don't want to do. The school grind is continuous and will certainly require discipline of your time and your focus. You sound motivated and have a plan laid out. You will be fine as long as you realize that TIME is precious and you will probably have to really change your routine to accomodate study/rest/nutrition to keep you going strong ! Best wishes !
