This is all that's getting to me. I've heard that the LPN pharmacology was easy. I'm not that great with memorization, and this textbook is killing me. I'm a teacher, so I can pretty much teach myself anything with a book. But this book is horrible...it's like it's Greek from page one. And there are so many different boxes and colored sections on each page you can't really pay attention to the words b/c your head is being sent in circles with all of the colors. I'm glad I have time to get a jump on this before the class starts.

They would have had to pick me up off the floor when they gave me that total!

Go with the easy way to remember it: K-WIPE Knock on the door Wash hands Introduce yourself Provide for privacy Explain the procedure Typically I would introduce myself and tell the pt what I was there for before I washed my hands, but this is just the way that you can run through it quickly in your head.

Oh WOW! If you have enough determination & self-discipline for that course load I'd say go for it. But I must tell you that my eyes are big and I'm taking deep breaths for you. I only took A&P II and Micro last semester and it took everything I had to get through it. I haven't taken Pharmacology yet, so I can't tell you how much that is going to be. Congrats on getting in! Don't let the class scare you. It is a lot of information in a short amount of time, but I found the class was only touching on the basics. You are going to do fine.

Hang in there. The state test will be easier than what they are throwing on you in class. Just keep thinking about the reasons you are fighting for it. Good luck!!

Ours was scheduled for the last day of class. The test was really easy...don't panic. I slept through the class & made a 96 on the written and a 100 on the skills portion.

I am absolutely terrified of the pharmacology class that I have to take this fall at RSCC. Can someone please put my nerves to rest and tell me what it is going to be like?

I ordered all of mine last week. Every day I have more coming in the mail and they are quickly overtaking my dining room table. I'm glad I have a couple of months to look at this pile before I actually have to dive in. it really is overwhelming.

I have over 200 hrs and they told me that I had maxed out everything that I could get in this lifetime until I got into a nursing program. Once I had been accepted, the only thing that I qualified for was for nursing courses. You still have the chance to take out personal loans. The interest is higher, but you can still get them.

It seems like it would be discrimination if they wouldn't hire you b/c you have a prescription. And believe me, as ADHD as I am they would want me to take my Concerta.

I will be taking my classes in Knoxville, but I am going to the lab class in Oak Ridge.
