thanks for all. i'm from Australia. in N.S.W. this is a question in my assignment :) the nurse did it on purpose when the patient was in a coma and hence the patient died. however, the patient have a oral 'advance medical directive' before the coma, which is 'if next im in coma, you should let me go.' what i thought was similar to your opinion, the law is quite different everywhere. cheers

hi all, a patient needs a medication A in IV fluid, but the nurse gives IV fluid to the patient without putting A in. then the nurse writes med A on the label of the IV fluid. obviously, it's illegal, can i please ask which law or act could i use to prove it? thanks:nurse:

thx everyone, i cant agree with u more about the blood-O2 relationship. bleeding would cause O2 reducing. however, my question is not a "bleeding" patient, but a "history of bleeding" patient. and this is why am so confused

why SaO2 monitoring is important for a patient with a history of bleeding? what i think is something about coma. can anyone provide any idea? thx:D

hi there, it sounds silly but i googled ur question, it seems that u r one of my schoolmate... i guess she has been ordered this based on her K+ and water loss, also she vomited so she cant take oral medication. and K could only give to her with a lot of fluid ...to many reasons...we may discuss the questions if u like :)
