Yes. I've had 2 csections - one after 12 hours of hard labor with a stuck baby, and 1 elective. I absolutely loved the second. (the only bad thing during the first was the pain i was in before the section) It was a wonderful birth experience (before, during and after). I have nothing to complain about with the csections. I could eat normal, was walking within about 6 hours of the delivery, had no problem holding the babies, etc. If I were to get pregnant again my next would also be a section. Thank God I have an OB/hospital that respects a womans right to choose when it comes to reproductive & birthing options.

A lot of people go for unique spellings now. I named my daugher Emilie and can't tell you how many times they tried to correct the spelling and put a y at the end. :angryfire I don't think I would ever comment on the spelling of a name :chuckle

Why does everyone automatically assume this girl will be on welfare? I had a child at 19, and my other at 20. I'm very happily married, my husband is set in his career, I'm in nursing school. We live a very nice, comfortable life and I would not have it any other way. I'm proud to be a young mom and encourage all the others out there to do the best they can.

For those who complain about their tax money going for it.. When we were on medicaid i was working and paying out my taxes. Believe me, I paid out hundreds more than I used. So I look at it as MY money paying for my visits.

I work as a cna right now doing home care. We are told to open the patients medicine, get out their pills and tell them to take it, but we can not put it in their hand. I hate doing this! I'm terrified that the nurse will write down the wrong med for the wrong day/time or something and then I'll give it to them and get the blame/punishment. It's required at our agency so if I don't do this I lose my job. I will be so happy when I get my bsn and can quit this job!

I was really nervous my first day of clinicals too. I'm not too good with smells and have found that the vicks works well. I just dab a bit under my nose and i'm good to go.

I agree that the spelling comment was a bit harsh. When chatting online my hands go faster than my mind :chuckle (i am the typo queen!) To the OP, there is a risk with everything. I know these chips aren't exactly nutritious... but I'll eat them anyway!

As someone who use to receive medicaid, I got those looks like 'she can't be on it, look at her clothes, car, etc'. Yes, I was poor, did I need to dress or act like it? No. I made every attempt to look professional when I went out in public. Everything I had was gotten before my husband was laid off from his job. We went from getting around 4,500 a month to my little above minimum wage job which brought in about 1,300 (and this included overtime!) Rough times Yes, the system does get abused, but you don't know their situation so it's better not to judge.

To the person who said there is no need for CNA's... I would LOVE to see you do that job and still have time for your duties as an RN. Thats like saying there are no need for nurses, doctors can do it all on their own. RN/LPN's are assistants to them, as CNA's are assistants to the nurses.

I have my last day of clinicals tomorrow... our class was 5 weeks long (4 days a week)
