  1. Just got an email from UCLA graduate dept to check my status. Before it said: "you should be hearing from you dept soon.." and now there's a link that takes me to a rejection letter. So I will be going to CSULA this fall. Congrats to all who got in and good luck. :)
  2. Congrats!! Iska...Did ur status say no decision before it said u were admitted ?
  3. Just received an email of acceptance for anp!
  4. OMG!!! My stomach dropped when I read these posts! Congrats! You must be so excited!!!!! Mine still says no decision made...ahhhh:nailbiting:
  5. Omg. The closer we get to knowing the more nervous I get.... Does anyone know if the program can be done part-time?
  6. Cool. I applied for adult-gero acute care NP. My second choice is adult-gero primary care NP. Im nervous!
  7. I got an email saying acceptance/denial/waitlist email notifications will be sent out April 15 by 6PM. Good luck everyone!
  8. Congrats!!!!!!
  9. I applied to csula...didn't get that email. But when u applied to csula did u list an alternate specialty? Was the email from csula or csulb?
  10. Hi there, Im another applicant hoping for good news in April lol. Does anyone know if the Acute NP program can be done part time? Thanks and good luck to all applicants
  11. I received the same email today. It says for "consideration". I will be contacted if an interview is needed, and I will be notified when a final selection has been made.
  12. Thanks myitas. I went to go see some houses up there and really liked the open space and fresh air! I like the quietness about it. I'm tired of the valley.....so congested. The only thing that would suck is the drive....I think my chances of getting a job are greater down here. only time will tell..let us know how it goes with Palmdale :)
  13. Hello! I am another applicant. I applied to Surgical ICU and Hematology Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant. Seems like a lot of us are going for Surgical. Good luck to you all! We all deserve a spot
  14. dang that was quick! @myitas more power to you for doing a masters program! how do you like it and what are you specializing in? as for the battery test, just give your best so at least you know you tried and whatever happenes from there....happens. lol. how do you like living in the palmdale area? any tips or advice? i want to move to west palmdale or lancaster.
  15. OooO congrats on getting the email! Ok yea I live in the valley but am planning on moving to Palmdale or Lancaster in about 6 months. Was hoping on getting a job before moving. I got a rejection letter saying that I did not meet the academic and/or experience required...thought it was strange since I thought I was eligible so I contacted HR and she said she would forward my info to the nurse recruiter so we will see what happens. Do you have an ADN or BSN? R u licensed yet? and do you have any work experience? Thanks and good luck on the test!! Hope you get the job.
  16. Hello, Wondering if anyone applied to this position or has any insight on how they choose their applicants? thanks!
  17. Omg!! Congrats!! Thank u. I don't have my license yet...so we will see :/
  18. Thank u so much!! I can relax a little more now :) just a few more weeks.
  19. Hello, I applied to the Fall 2012 ADN-to-BSN program at CSUN. I am waiting for a response from the department and wanted to ask ya'll when you received your acceptance letters. I am anxiously waiting and would like to know around how much longer I have to wait lol. thanks!
  20. mrgershom there are a lot of apartment buildings around CSUN. I would look into those. They are pretty much mostly occupied by students so I'm pretty sure you can get a good deal. I know some of them can be leased/rented per semester or on a month to month thing because of the fact that some students leave for the summer or graduate. I would live there because of how close they are to campus, (literally like across the street) restaurants, the mall, and because it is a good area to live in. I still live at home though lol so no need to rent one. I emailed the nursing dept about letters of admission/denial and got a response saying that letters were continuing to be sent out this week and next week. I am applying to the RN-to-BSN program but am assuming they may be referring to the ABSN program since some of you haven't heard from the department at all yet. Good Luck!!! I'm hoping to hear from them soon and hate this waiting game too!!
  21. Hi Mamomi! My GPA wasn't so high...I have a 3.3 overall GPA and a 3.5 gpa in the science classes (no repeats). I got an 87.9% on the TEAS, have high school experience in the medical field (from an ROP class), and I do not attend glendale (I did all my pre-reqs at CSUN)
  22. Thanks for the info Vivasmom!!! Gongrats on getting through the semesters!! You must be so excited!!
  23. Ok so I just noticed it doesn't say what room orientation will be in! We should ask when we take in our intent to enroll form. Have you taken yours? I am going tomorrow. I am not a GCC student so I hope they will give me my ID # before the deadline to turn in the intent form!! Do you know how long it takes to get ur ID #? And WOW 30 students each!!! We are lucky!!!! :) I have a question now too.....hahaha When do you take the background & drug tests and physical stuff? Is it before the winter session or during? R they expensive? Just want to be ready moneywise you know?
  24. Thanks and congrats to you too!! I got into the standard program. What about you? I cant wait! Do you attend Glendale already? Do you know how many people are accepted into the program? Do you know if we are starting clinicals in the winter session already? or do we not start until the Spring semester? Sorry I have so many questions haha
  25. Oh that's great!! I recieved my acceptance letter today to start in January. Im so excited!!! Looking to see if there is anyone else here who also got accepted
