  2. So my post yesterday, was shut off computer at 75 questions and got the "good pop up". Well today, I looked on my Nusing Board website... and I PASSED!!!!!! Peason Vue's results are still not up though.
  3. :uhoh3:Took the nclex today, was kicked off the computer at 75 questions... PVT says a new registration cannot be made due to an already open registration. Hope this is the "good" pop up!!
  4. Did exam this am.. got kicked off at 75.. ouch. Tried trick, credit page will not come up. Told me there was an open registration, and that a new registration could not be opened at this time!! Now we wait.
  5. What new test format? Can anyone help me explain the differences between Acetycholine and Cholinesterase, regarding Myasthenia Gravis? I thought that Acetycholine relaxes muscle, therefore I do not follow why too little of it would cause MG. Please unscramble my logic and set me straight. Good luck to everyone for April.. mine is 27th.
  6. Are you talking about Kaplan NCLEX-RN review 2010 book edition? I cannot find, sample RN Test #3....
  7. I am a UK nurse and failed 1st time. Trying to figure out best way to tackle this big mountain. I have now obtained, Saunders, and LaCharity, Kaplan books. Do not know if best plod on myself, or look at Hurst, or NCSBN. Can someone tell me re NSCBN course, cost, and time involved etc? Any suggestions. I trained 20yrs ago, so things are not fresh in my mind.
  8. I failed!!!!! I got to the credit card page!! I gues the statistics of international nurses are right, only 44% passing first time.
  9. Did you get to the credit card page, and did you confirm payment?
  10. Sat NCLEX this morning. Does anyone know, the Pearson trick, does it mean to get to the credit card page, you have probably failed, or do you have to confirm after that? I have been scared to confirm, incase I do not get the money back if you pass. Although I am assuming that I didn't. As internationally trained nurses (I am from UK) only pass 44% 1st time. Do you have to contact the nursing board again, or just reschedule at Pearson? Will update you all, when I find out?
  11. No, living in MN, USA.
  12. Thanks Aggy, I shall plough:coollook: on!
  13. Please help.... I am UK nurse trying to study for NCLEX. I have my own experience between our equilivant nurses, RN and EN, however, I do not fully understand the US system differences in these roles. Can LPN admit/assess new clients? Attend to IV/blood transfusions, give medicines etc? The same question for LPN v nursing assistants.... Any helpful info welcome
  14. taking the RN - thanks
  15. So, what about admitting, they need to assess there? If not tasks above, what roles/tasks can they do?
  16. So, this is my next question... I am working through Delegation book suggested (and Kaplan), both very good. Could you in a nut shell clarify delegation duties RN/LPN/nursing assistant? With not having worked in US, need clarification. I have read the State Practice Act as suggested in Delegation book, which suggests... RN- unstable, pt need assessing etc LPN- stable pts, (unsure re IV, blood trans) NA- physical bodily functions. However, it also implies that some NA with further training can do IV, meds etc? (In UK, RN ans EN could do IV, blood trans, meds. NA only washing etc.) Further advice appreciated, although I am sure the more I get through this book it will help.
  17. Thanks RGN Scot! I trained in Aberdeen in 1990 qualified RGN, after completing Bridging course. Where did you do your training?
  18. Thanks for the link. I typed in title and author I was given earlier on numerous websites including Amazon, and nothing came back. Title was slightly different...:bowingpur Now I have Saunders and this one to expand my knowledge!
  19. I cannot seem to find Assessment, priority and delegation by Linda La Charity online, any ideas where to purchase one?
  20. I know the NCLEX test is adaptive to the answers given, but is there a % pass rate required?
  21. Thanks for the info re Delegation book. I will add this to my reading list.:typing
  22. Did you train in UK, and if so how long ago did you pass the NCLEX? Thanks for the info re Saunders and SATA. You can tell I am new at this US nursing thing..
  23. Any othe UK nurses out there, and what are you using to study for this? Any helpful info from anyone......
