Augustboy Try a Methadone or addiction clinic. I currently work for a Meth clinic and they seem to be alot more willing to accept us new grads without any experience. Oh and the pay is great too. Hope this helps and good luck!

Wow that's alot!!! All I did was: 1) Memorize my values 2) Do an hours worth of NCLEX questions (on the computer) 3) Pray. All of this for about 2 weeks prior to taking the NCLEX

So I had an interview at a very nice dermatoloy office and it went very well. The human resources person and the head nurse both interviewed me and everything was very pleasant and free flowing. The human resources person called me yesterday (from her personal cell phone, on her personal time) to let me know that she will not be in the office and not to worry that I was still being heavily considered for the position. My question to you all is: Would you take this as a sign that I have the job? Oh by the way I am a recent grad.. Thanks in advance!!!:heartbeat

I honestly couldnt tell you the exact amount but I've had about 5 interviews and everyone says the same thing "oh we'd love to have you come and work for us but you just don't have the experience that we need for this position". Im gonna keep plugging away at it and I feel like some day soon I'll have a job and get the experience that I need and then I'll move on to a job that I want some where else.

ALOT!!!! Everyone that I've applied with keeps telling me that they'd love to have someone like me on their staff but they just cannot provide the proper training needed.

LPN/VN have been getting phased out forever,my mom has been an LPN for almost 40 years and she said that when she was in school they were saying that! Well Im not gonna take any chances so Im going back to school. Thank you ladies for all of your input, I greatly appreciate it!

I don't think it's a waste of time because once you get the experience you need jobs will be falling into your lap. Do not get discouraged, Im not!
