  1. Congratulations!!!!!:)
  2. Hello ShelbyHisler, I am so sorry that I wasn't able to respond to your message. I am taking summer classes and my internet is down. I am taking most of my classes on Mondays through Thursdays. Hopefully my internet will be working by next week so I can keep in contact.
  3. Congratulations on your acceptance!:yeah:I knew you would get in! Now that you have gotten accepted doesn't it feel good to know that you are on your way to becoming a nurse? It is so motivating. For the fall I am taking Nursing 102, Spanish, Public Speaking, and Microbiology. Four classes are my limit I couldn't imagine taking more than four classes. Also, thanks for your e-mail address I will be keeping in contact with you. Once again congratulations. Oh yeah, I have met with an advisor, just call the admissions office and set up an appointment to see an advisor and you will be able to schedule your classes. When you see the advisor they will tell you what classes you have left to take. So far I have taken: A &P I A&PII English 1 English 2 Psychology Sociology Religion 1 Philosophy Biology Developmental Psy Statistics College Algebra Once again Congratulations!:nuke:
  4. Thank you so much for your advice. You are absolutely right, everyone has different experiences when they attend different schools and just because they had a rough time at this school doesn't mean that I will experience the same difficulties they have experienced. Things may be different for me. As you mentioned before, the bottom line is if I study and apply myself I will get my degree. I must stay strong and stay focus on what is most important and that is getting my degree. Thanks!
  5. hello sunshine304! i personally go to rate my professor it is a website that has really helped me. most of the comments are really helpful and most of the time you can get a feel for the instructor by other people comments. just click on this link:) http://www.ratemyprofessors.com/selectteacher.jsp?sid=1920 hope this helps!
  6. I am glad you let me know that your aunt is a Nurse Practitioner because this gives some type of hope. Also, have you taken any pre-requisites and are you commuting if so how long is the ride because I am about 45-50 minutes away. Sorry I am asking so many questions:DLOL!! I guess the bottom line is that we have to study and apply ourselves in order to get the things we want in life. I am 20 years old and I do not have any children and I live in the Philadelphia area.Oh yeah, I will keep my fingers crossed. I hope you get in!!
  7. This was really inspirational and encouraging. This past year has been really horrible for me and at the same time confusing, frustrating, and discouraging. In the beginning of my college career I decided that I was going to become a cardiologist, but after taking a couple of courses I found out that the work load was not for me and that I just didn't want to spend the next ten years in school. By this time I had already transferred to my second college, after discovering the field of nursing I decided to pursue this profession. So now I am at a community college and I have been accepted into a nursing program that many people are saying is a really bad program, but this is the only school that has accepted me. At times I will say, "Where is God?" sometimes it seems like my life is stagnant and I feel like I am not making progress. In addition, another school I originally applied to and prayed about getting into told me that the program is full and so now I have know choice, but to attend the university that everyone is saying is a bad program. I just pray that God is in control of this situation because right now I feel absolutely out of control and I hope I am making the right decision because I am tired of transferring from school to school and wasting time.
  8. It took about two to three weeks before I received my acceptance letter in the mail. This is the only school that has accepted me so I will be attending this school in the fall. I applied also to Gwynedd-Mercy College Nursing Program and at first I was put on the waiting list and then a week ago I received a letter saying that there weren't enough seats and the program was full. Even though Holy Family has received bad reviews I have to stay focus and do the best I can to make it through the program and hopefully everything will work out. I really do appreciate these comments because I now know what to espect when I get there. Good luck!
  9. Thanks for both of your inputs on this matter. I have a serious decision to make and I will take your comments into consideration when making my final decision. Once again thank you!
  10. Right now my GPA is a 3.0. This may change after this semester because I am doing really well in Anatomy and English. What kind of bad things have you heard about this program and should I be concerned?
  11. I was recently accepted into Holy Family University Day Nursing Program as a transfer student and I was wondering if anyone has been accepted into this program for Fall 2009. Also, if there are any current students or graduates of this program, can you please give me your opinion about the program and can you please give me some advice or information about the program. Thank You!!
  12. Congratulations!!! This has encouraged me to never give up. Even when my classes get really hard and I began to get frustrated I remember that God will never leave me and he cares about my future!! Once again congratulations!!!
