  1. I think one of the packet forms said Parking 2 or 4.
  2. Also got my paperwork in the mail yesterday. Looking forward to meeting everybody!
  3. Hi, guys! No, I have not received anything yet.
  4. Thanks, angelxeternity!
  5. angelxeternity, can I ask you if your email contained the name of your interviewer? Mine was just a confirmation for tomorrow and the time. Thank you!
  6. I have not received anything yet.
  7. I started taking prereqs back in 2008, applied to two schools - one state and one private. My first degree BA GPA was 3.97, prereqs 4.00, got into both.
  8. Creineck: My GPA for Bachelor's of Arts 3.97 Prereqs GPA 4.0 Volunteering in a hospital - abt a year have experience working as a caregiver back in the day .
  9. Yep, got my email abt a couple of hours ago!
  10. 3.97 GPA for B.A. 4.0 GPA for pre-reqs CA school accepted me
  11. Mechanized, Nope, accepted to CSUN only so far. Applied to MSMC Fall 2012, so far as everybody else here I still do not know my status with them. I never thought I would be accepted to CSUN, MSMC was my first choice - the program is great, the campus is breathtaking, clinical rotations take place in very good hospitals. But then I start thinking about $56,000 plus living expenses, and realize I need to set my financial priorities. Are you thinking to apply to MSMC next year?
  12. Thank you, Mechanized! Yeah, I was thinking the same, the difference in cost is significant.
  13. Hi, guys, I also applied to MSMC Fall 2012. If you got accepted to MSMC and CSUN ABSN - which one would you attend? Thank you!
  14. Happyperson2, I hope you will get in! Seems like a lot of people are refusing their spots
  15. I should have probably done the same - applied for ELM to save time and money, but not sure if I want to pursue NP, or NS, or CRNA (?- a lot of people want that one:)). How about you - any Master's in mind?
  16. I would like to apply to a Master's program after BSN ( if I make it). The whole reason for BSN for me is to figure out what I am interested in - which field, which Master's. But I would like to work first to get experience: ) To get that first, difficult to find job: )
  17. Congratulations on getting in all the schools, that is wonderful! I am thinking about getting an Advanced Degree in the future (hopefully), but want to start working ASAP and need to figure out which Advanced degree I would like to pursue, that is why I want to get ABSN first. If you are more or less sure which Advanced degree you want to get now, why not start on the way by getting ELM now. Btw, it will be taking me over an hour with all the traffic to get to CSUN and I am not too happy about the prospect:) So I hear you when you say MSN schools are far away. Oh well, I will just have to sacrifice time and gas money.
  18. Congratulations, Mrgershom!!! I mailed it to the same address that I used to mail my application package (was given the card with the exact address when I dropped off my application package). I sent it by certified mail just in case:)
  19. To answer Ilean811's question, I check marked Fall 2012 only.
  20. I am not a CSUN alumni, not sure it helps or hurts on'e chances to get in. I wonder how much the program has changed...
  21. Lilpeapods, I think it will be quite understandable if you contact the program coordinator at CSULA. But again, correct me if I am wrong, you can always accept CSUN, and if you hear the good news from CSULA, you can notify CSUN immediately, and they will contact a person on the alternate list. Life happens, and sometimes people have to put off school for a year, or family emergencies happen, so I would think sometimes prospective students change their decision after they sign this letter.
  22. Hi, Happyperon2, thank you for sharing your opinion on my problem! :) True, networking is the king. Sigh. I suck at it, but I guess I will need to work on that skill. Do you think volunteering in a certain hospital helps? I have been volunteering at Cedars, and intend to keep on doing that even after my one year commitment expires. Happyperson2, I really-really hope that you will get in. This year not too many people are discussing CSUN ABSN program, so it is not clear how other applicants are doing - maybe more letters are being sent, interviews are being set up, and we just don't know because nobody is discussing it. Can I ask you, what other schools have you applied to?
  23. Thank you, Lilpeapods! You are right, I guess I am just being obsessing over decisions that I need to make. But MSMC will notify of their decision only on May/June for Fall start, so I will definitely accept CSUN. Have you heard from CSULA yet?
  24. And I really hope that CSULA will accept you, as it is your first choice!: ) But I totally agree that it feels nice to know you have already been accepted somewhere!
