Hey! Sorry been a crazy few days...I'm graduating from UTA in May with my BSN and have been a LVN for the past 13 years. I have always wanted to work NICU and am praying that Parkland will call!! That is really why I went back to school so I could have this chance of a lifetime! I was wondering the same thing about how many nurse residents they will take? Anyone heard if they have even started calling people yet?

I'm just curious if anyone knows if they have started calling people for their nurse residents positions they posted at the beginning of the week yet? Just trying to get any info at all...really praying for a call soon!

Has anyone been contacted either by email or phone about their application for any of their residency positions? Just curious how long it might take for them to start calling people for interviews??

I am praying for NICU or Newborn nursery...I have a friend in L&D there and would be open to that too!

Anyone hoping to apply for Parkland's NNICU internship for this summer?! I am waiting for the internships to post...but would LOVE to work in their NNICU!!! :) ...looking for any suggestions at all on how to increase my chances of getting an interview!! :) Thanks!

Does anyone have any advice on how to get an interview for Parkland's NNICU internship? This is my dream to work at Parkland in the NICU but I'm worried with the amount of applicants it'll be hard to get an interview...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! :) Thanks!

@notola...I'm sorry you didn't do so well on the final...that was an extremely tough final! I honestly don't know what if I did anything different from others on here but for me, I just read all the modules and read the chapters in the book...highlighting and taking notes on anything that jumped out at me. Hope that helps!

@AvJK...yes, it does!! I am SO excited for you and know you will do amazing!! 15 months will pass so fast and then you will have so many opportunities in front of you...stay focused and I can't wait to hear all about how it's going!! :)

Hey fellow pharm students....just received post in the discussion boards from our coach that pharm final grade will be released at midnight!! whoohoo!! (I'm guess she thought I was asking when final grade for class would be released earlier today when she said it would be a while.) Anyway, so happy to know it won't be long before we know for sure how the final went...

@AvJK...ok no problem! It's for a clinic LVN so I'm all prepared for the scenario type questions...I'm really excited and looking forward to going back to work. I also live in Arlington...small world!

@AvJK...I have an interview on Thursday at the HEB pedi clinic and was wondering if you knew anything about this clinic or what I could expect during the interview? The lady that set it up stated there would be at least 4 people in the interview and I'm just trying to do my research on the clinic. Thanks for any thoughts or advice!! :)

@BJBAILEY...I posted that question in the forum and my coach responded earlier with "it's going to take a while for grades to be released in your Mymavs" just wanted to give everyone a heads up...praying it's not too long!!

I'm also applying to as many jobs at a couple of the partnering hospitals as possible...lol! Trying to see if I can get a job asap! I would really like to apply this go around partnered!!

I am going to go ahead and apply to a couple other colleges but those transition programs wouldn't start until end of May (start once a year) so I figured I would have time to reapply to UTA. Letters for last Fall 2011 class came 1st week of May so plenty of time to wait it out...haha! I am also considering going ahead and applying for the traditional UTA program as well?!? Just not sure yet... @BJBAILEY...did you ever find out where you are on wait list? Still praying you all are called!!

SO thankful that Pharm final is over...whoohoo!! There were about 25 old questions from what I counted and a lot of new info questions...I had a feeling that there were going to be very few old questions just because someone on here a while back posted that their test didn't have any old questions so I thought it might be a pretty tough test...and it was...haha!! Now I'm just ready for the grades to be released...c'mon already!!...good luck everyone!! :)
