  1. I feel your pain I work on a unit in a LTC facility (Neuro) I am burn out. I take of 28 residents the same thing you mention in you quote. The place is under staff and managers expect every thing to get done in 8 hrs. I work 3-11 shift and sometimes i'll be there until midnight. It is very difficult for me working in the nursing home.
  2. I took a position at LTC after I couldn't find a job in hospital setting as a new grad and I am loving it.

It is always best to be truthful upfront and not let the school find out of their own can give them grounds to dismiss you from the program
  5. I think it is wise to make sure you will be able to take the boards before wasting time going through a nursing porgram and cannot get a license.
  6. As a new RN it is very difficult to find jobs in todays economy.Every hospital in NYC is asking for experience. I feel like I wasted two years going to school and now cannot find a job. It is very frustrating to me. I have applied to every hospital and LTC with no avail. I have not even gotten a call back from anyone. I am losing hope.
