Lehigh valley hospital in Allentown, PA
I know they are an excellent hospital, and have even visited the main building. Yet, they do not pay well in comparison to New Jersey or New York.

The Nursing Math Thread
I have found the book, Calculate with Confidence, by Deborah Gray Morris. It is great, comes with a CD, so you can practice the calculations over and over.

Morristown Memorial Hospital, salary for new RN graduate, externship
have researched Morristown memorial hospital, and looks like a great place to work. Does anyone know the starting rate for a new RN graduate with a BSN. Is it hard to get a job at this hospital as a new grad? Any info would help, thanks. Trying to decide which place would offer me the greatest opportunity to learn and excel in the nursing field. Thanks.

Lehigh valley hospital in Allentown, PA
I will graduate in early December of this year with my BSN. I will be a new RN, does anyone know what the starting salary, or hour rate of a new graduate at Lehigh valley hospital is? I visited the hospital and researched it, it looks like an awesome hospital to work at and a great opportunity to learn. The problem is I live about an hour away, so I want to be sure that the commute will be worth it. I'm very eager and excited to learn. Does anyone know about the internship for CCU? Thanks. :heartbeat

Scared Of Poop!!!!!!!!! Help!!!!!!!
My advice, work as a nurse assistant, care partner, and you will eventually get over the "poop" thing. You will do all the dirty work as a nurse assistant, but you will soon learn to accept the "poop" thing, and learn to understand the patient is just unable to control their bowel movements or are embarrassed of their inability to control it. Just don't breathe, when you change a patient, breathe through your mouth, but please don't pass out..

"Don't waste your time getting your BSN..."
Most hospitals pay more for a RN with a Bachelors, at least the hospitals that I know of, not much, but a little more. Achieving a Bachelors of Science in nursing is not a waste of time, it is more education to make you a better nurse. More education is never a waste of time. You can go into many other fields besides management, such as education positions in a hospital or college, or work at a pharmaceutical company. Plus, you can achieve a masters in many different fields, and be fortunate enough not to work in a hospital when you become old, tired and cranky.

Dont know what type of nurse i want to be
I will graduate in December, and the guys I know in the nursing program, usually want to be in critical care, ICU, and then eventually to progress to be a flight nurse (requires CCU experience). Other guys want to be a Nurse practioner or nurse anesthetist. Eventually you will figure out where you want to be, it just may take some time.
