  1. I need to take microbiology and maybe anatomy and physiology, since my classes are too old to be accepted. Do any of you know of a college that offer these classes online, that is accredited? Any help would be so greatly appreciated. :balloons: Xoe

HI, In Vanderbilt Email Addresses are as follows [email protected] Try that and you may find your friend! Xoe
  3. I know many people that work at Krogers, including head quarters and the supermarket. Many of Kroger employees make only minimum wage, I know of no nurses that make that little. The only people that make a "ton" of money at krogers are those that have been in the company for ages. For example, Kim, a person who supervises the Pharmacy crew (who dispenses medicine) who has been in Krogers since 1989, makes ........drum roll please, $13 an hour. For a supervisory position that is not much! A person that works 40 hour weeks in a store such as kroger and making minimum wage or maybe 7:00 an hour can hardly afford insurance. There is such a thing as freedom of expresion, they are entitle to oppose their company if they like, just as much as you have the right to hate their choice. The Kroger company offers some good benefits, but not to all employees, we must think of the "little people" who make up for 74% of the employee populi, not those rare $14.00 an hour folk (which is the income cap for experienced, senior members) get. My opinion of course. Xoe

Are you applying to Graduate school in Vandy?

Well we work with all of them, actually do their Pathology. Dr. Fogo is my direct supervisor, she is the director of Renal Pathology. We look at the pathology to diagnose the kidney, which is in turn reported to the Nephrologist and he then makes a decision on how to treat the patient. We have a nephrology fellow come every month, to stay 30 days to learn about renal pathology. So you and I probably see the same fellows in rotation. Xoe

You are absolutely right. I love Vanderbilt! It is worth the Parking Garage pain...lol As I said, I work in Renal Pathology (We might have seen some of your patients before!). THe doctor I work with is a world class doctor. She travels all over the world to do talks and participates in awesome research. Our team is wonderful, and I will hate to leave when I start the MSN program. It is good to work in a place like this, where you are always learning or at least encourage to do so. Xoe

Vandy is indeed huge, I work in Renal pathology and get lost all the time. So many buildings and people. I am not a nurse, but a nurse wanna be! I am currently in school about to graduate with A BS in Business and want to join the VU program for NP. Any of you have come to school here? Any thoughts? Xoe
