  1. I have been charting under other employees logins at work on the computer because mine was deactivated after being on medical leave, these nurses are with me when I am charting, and have not given out their passwords to me. Is there an issue with this since after I chart I chart in the comment line that I completed and charted the assessment, and vitals?

I am not really familiar with nimbex, can an RN give it IVP for a bedside procedure?
  3. I am just curious how often you guys are having to chart full assessments in the ICU. Also in the ICU how ofter are you required to chart I/O's? Thanks
  4. I have been thinking about getting a job in a nursing home because the pay is better than the hospitals. All of my friends tell me that there is no way they would ever work in one because your license is always on the line. Any advise? I am a RN BSN. What are the pros and cons? Are there any RN's out there that love working in the nursing homes/assisted living centers? :wink2:

  6. I think it maybe more upper quadrant pain then rib pain because it is tender to palpation under my ribs
  7. I haven't had any swelling, headaches, visual disturbances, or increased blood pressure. Just the rib pain which is very painful and is also tender to touch.
  8. I have a question for you L&D nurses. I am currently around 24 weeks pregnant. I have pretty severe pain underneath my right rib that radiates to my back. It is also sore to palpation. I also am having pain on my left side under my rib also. Any ideas as to what this is? Is it from the baby?
  9. I pay 300 per month for my HMO and 40.00 for dental per month, this covers myself, husband, and kids.

Do you test positive for Rh antiboties after receiving the rhogam shot?
  11. Where I work we have 1 nurse tech, sometimes 2 for over 35 critical care beds. We are stuck doing almost everything such as blood sugars, baths, taking the trash out, changing the bags in linen hampers. While our tech most of the time are off not doing anything.
  12. I just graduated in May 2003. I understand what you are going through. I work in the ICU and constantly dread going to work in fear that I will make a mistake, esp a life threatening one. I am terrified that I will miss something. However If I ever have a question no matter how stupid it is I ask one of the more experienced nurses. That seems to help relieve some of the anxiety while im at work, however I will go home in the a.m. and constantly think about my night and wonder oh crap did i do that or i wonder if i missed something. The anxiety hopefully will decrease once we become more experienced and then we will look back and think " I can't believe I used to stress out of this".

This may be a kind of broad question, but I am curious what mottling in an adult pt can be indicative of. Thanks in advance for your responses.
