I truly would want to pass the second time I take it because I feel for my kids. Living in someone elses house makes them inferior as well because they could not run around and make noises like normal kids do. They are always told not to. @Dez5150.. Thank you again for your generosity. I took the NCLEX-RN exam and I am taking it again hopefully soon. Thank you for your kind words. I have been to the library but all they got are old Princeton books. I aint complaining and my husband's mom is very generous in providing us with everything even with paying for our cellphone bills. Its just that sometimes Im so tired of being bossed around cause I aint used to that. And I feel so inferior cause everyone in my husband's home are nurses and they all passed the first time which makes me even more inferior. I just feel so stupid for not having passed. Oh well, Now she lent me her ATM so I can buy the book. Now more pressure is on me. Oh boy..

Thank you silverdragon. The La charity book is all I got at this time. The second hand books online are like $5 less the new book's price. So I am looking around. I am so sad, but seeing my kids makes me want to become somebody. I have to make it. God will help me and having a community such as Allnurses.com is totally an awesome place to interact and just open and let it go.So thank you all. I appreciate it a lot.

I have taken the boards last month and was down in the dumps since I got THAT letter. I am trying to start all over and this time I am so disappointed that it gives me more drive to pass. I have used Saunders before but was not able to finish the entirety since I ran out of time.I also had the La Charity book which I never opened because I was more focused on the other book. Now I no longer have the Saunders book since I just borrowed it and now the owner needs it. I have a minimum wage job that gives me 10 hours a week, with 3 kids and this totally makes it harder to have to retake the test. Mu husband is a student and we live with my in laws and its really hard to have to live with them. But I know that these sacrifices will be fruitful and I will be who I want to be in the future. The stories here inspire me to do more and be more. Which books will help me in taking it the second time? Thank you guys and to those who are still on the verge of that dream, hang in there. We know we all can do it.

Both are good. The former will help you review the facts while the latter will enhance your test-taking strategies. It will also help you review as long as you read the rationales. Both are good but if you have to choose one, id say the Q&A will help you more. Just my two cents.

After reading all the posts here, everybody who were able to reregister failed. Im hoping against hope that it aint true but i guess it is. and yes, cutegirl, that is a good sign..

Let us not make a big deal outta this "trick" thing. It may or may not be true. Nevertheless, nobody said that it is indeed true. It is just a speculation. A maybe. As what the other posters said-- to keep their sanity. So it is all on you to decide whether or not believe it. It has been stressed a lot of times that only that letter from the Board of Nursing can tell you the results. So until you get it, you will never know for sure..

That's the spirit! We have to keep moving on eventhough we think we might have failed. But there is still hope you know. We just might get that letter stating that we passed. Aint that sweet..? just pray and hang in there.. Anyway, has anybody here done the "trick" on the pearson vue site? Im kinda psyched out, big time! =)

Dont worry about it. Relax and take a deep breath. Imyself have bee waiting for the result for 9 days now. California BON takes 10-30 days, they say. So we got a long wait. I myself have started studying again. Maybe Im just being paranoid.. Anyway, smile and keep holding on. Im sure you did fine. Take care

Hi everyone! I am new here and I just discovered the site the day I took my exam. I took my NCLEX RN exam last Monday, 23 February, in Cali and still have no clue as to the results. I decided to post because I feel that you guys are doing a wonderful job of uplifting people's feelings. I too, like many others stopped at 75. and again, like many others, i aint sure if i passed. This is really eating me because I get chills every night and no matter how sleepy I am, I could just not get myself to sleep. Its so terrible. I tried calling the CA-BRN but all I was told was to wait 10-20 days for the letter in the mail because the website is not a reliable source and that I may or may not see my name there even if I passed. I dont know if I still can make it through the 10th day. This is so depressing.. Excuse me for throwing these all on you
