  1. Praise the Lord! I passed! The trick worked for me...definitely helped me calm the nerves and anxiousness. Something else to obssess about while waiting for the results, you know...? Instead of checking the mailbox on a daily basis or calling BVNPT to harass them. By the way, to all the CALIFORNIANS here, I took my NCLEX-PN on August 19th, and I finally received my results today, although technically it got mailed out on September 22nd. Took me 5 weeks and 2 days. YES, I HAVE been counting the days. So I hope this helps with a rough estimate on when you will be receiving your results. Good luck to y'all! :)
  2. my classmate just called and she received the happy PASS letter! she took her NCLEX on Aug. 5th and when i told her about the trick, she was skeptical about it. however, she just mentioned "I GUESS THE TRICK WORKS AFTER ALL!" i'll let you know when i get the PASS letter...but so far, so good.
  3. i also studied with Saunders CD, book and NCSBN studying guide. if you choose to do NCSBN, don't even bother with the 3 weeks or 5 weeks. the pharmacology section alone takes a good week and a half to read/learn thoroughly. i purchased 5 weeks and ended up regretting it, wishing i could have spent more time studying. good luck!
  4. sorry, i can only provide perspective as an NCLEX-PN taker, but... Saunders questions are easy compared to the real NCLEX questions. as carolinagurl said, no amount of studying could prepare anyone for that crazy test. some NCLEX questions are real basic and simple, compared to the crazy paragraphs from Saunders CD...but the answers are so hard to figure out. i also studied with the NCSBN studying guide. if anything, that helped me more than Saunders. maybe give that a try. but again, NCLEX is some crazy test.
  5. maybe they got super hard multiple choice questions. then again, nothing about the questions that i got were easy.
  6. i am more than grateful to have found this thread. otherwise, i would still be in agony and drown myself in sorrow and live the life of an insomniac. i, at least, was able to find some comfort in this "trick" and obtain a peace of mind. having said that, what some of us would appreciate, is that those who participate in this thread would stop asking the ultimate/repetitive/same "how do you do the trick?" question. some members have been generous enough to explain the process and the theory behind it over and over again, whether in their own words or copied & pasted those of others. IF, and only if, people would take their time to go through (even a handful of) the posts and do some research before asking the obvious...make sense? however, i must agree and understand that there must be a reason as to why the Adms haven't made a sticky out of this popular subject. well said, it's all up to them.
  7. goodness gracious...how, how, HOW?! i was dreading SATAs and pharm questions. well, i got both. ugh.
  8. there are people that have gotten no SATAs?!?! is that even....possible...? *gasp*
  9. agreed. props for the people who keep on directing some subscribers on how to do the "trick" but a sticky is overdue.
  10. according to some anecdotes, people have called VUE.com to confirm whether the pop-up is enough of a justification/validation to start celebrating. of course VUE.com hasn't provided a straightforward answer, but go figure... as far as calling BON, they aren't responsible for VUE.com, so how would BON know about anything...?
  11. oh, sorry. to answer to the thread question specifically, i wouldn't say LVN-RN is a waste of time. any opportunity to learn is a God given opportunity to gain more experience. what i think is a waste of time, is the process of waiting around until getting picked for the program.
  12. i don't know how things work at other cities/counties/districts, but according to my research within LA district, LVNs are offered the so-called "left overs". priority is given to the traditional RN or BSN students, then transfer students, yaddi yaddi yadda, and after everyone else is taken care of...then it's our turn. i was even told by 2 RN program representatives (from different schools) that nowadays, doing LVN first is not recommended as priority is granted to regular RN applicants. hey, they said it, not me. i knew it wasn't going to be easy, but boy, why is getting into a bridge program OVERTLY DIFFICULT?!
  13. got 85 questions for NCLEX-PN. (i don't know how you guys keep track of the exact # of SATAs!!) roughly, i got about 12 SATAs. i'm horrible with SATAs, but i think i had higher chances with them than the 7 pharm questions...on meds that i've never heard of.
  14. well, the automated computer system eventually let you register and directed you to the payment page, hence the reason why you were able to submit $200 to re-register for the NCLEX. bottom line, whether you weren't given the chance to take the exam or failed, you were directed to the (crucial) payment page. which is the ultimate page we all dread to be directed to.
  15. only 1,000? c'mon Prado, we can estimate about 75% of frustrated Californians are posting on that thread. about sending the $75 to BVNPT to try as a substitute to the VUE trick... are you seriously willing to send them a check and expect to get it back...? you go right ahead and let us know how that goes for you. let me warn you, it just might take you half a year or so to get the refund. good luck. my
