  1. Good for you! You can't, or should I say you "shouldn't" sit on your orifice...go out and love your life to its fullest! Your back would get worse if you sat around dong nothing. When I am happy, my back is happy!
  2. Ok, thank you...well then that is a personal decision. I know I am partial to my days off! Don't know if I could give that up with all the traveling I do! But if it is a better job, more advancement, friendly atmosphere etc...then you should take it. Do what is best for you. Congrats on getting the offer during these tough time:yeah:
  3. Where did you see this ad. I only ask because it looks like a Craig's list add, and most of those are junk ads..too good to be true! Have you verified it worthiness?
  4. Are your kids really allowed to be involved if they don't turn in a release form to participate in a field trip? Our children have to each and every time! Also, they MUST have all shots up to date for each and every field trip. I agree...do the work parents...or your kids don't play! Tough love! Wow...even with an income, I would take advantage of a eye exam, etc!! What parent would not do that?
  5. I was ordered PT before my surgery, and actually it made it worse!! I ended up getting an epidural. I couldn't even put on my shoes! I do try to keep my back moving, to keep it strong, and not "baby" it too much. Thank you for the website. I always love good info.
  6. Well, all I can say, at least I am not willing to sit home, gain 300lbs and "use the system", (not saying everyone does that!!) I want to get out and work! I do accounting, but soooo miss the medical field. Hopefully you also will be ok through school! Find someone to talk to if you get down, or think you can't do it due to the pain! A Support system! Be strong and go for what you want no matter what. Do some low back exercises, build the muscles around where you hurt, you need to make it stronger, this will help. Kymery
  7. Well, I am actually doing pretty darn good! I do get tired around my hip area after standing too long on hard floors, and that worries me about clinicals. I don't like meds..but I do take ibuprofen at times. I have to constantly move around, not sit too long (which causes my back problems, sitting in broken chairs at work!!) I have the Dynesys system at two levels with a lamenectomy. I have always been active, riding off road, quads, swimming, etc etc...so this is a new life, but you can hardly tell I had the surgery, if not for me making sure I don't do something I am not supposed to do! I always hear people saying how they are so horrible after surgery...my legs were going numb, still do at times, but better to have my stable system in my back than to not have it. My Dr. released me back to full duty, no restrictions. He did warn me that IF I ask for 30lb restrictions, that would/could hurt me in my future work..so with nursing in my future..thank goodness I don't have that restriction. Basically, I have had to learn how to live a different life, such as when to bend, when not to, what I can and can't do. I have had to learn to ask for help and not be so stubborn, do it myself type person! hahaha
  8. I agree, the thread title states "PASSING OF SHOWBIZRN" and that is where the confusion starts..if that can be changed, I think it would help.
  9. I had two level back surgery in 2007 and am starting school next month. I am also wondering this, but very, very determined to do this anyway. I know it may be rough, I was a medical asst for several years and I just love the nursing field, so no matter what, I am going to make this work! (at least i hope so..haha)
  10. Thank you for the confirmation! My condolences and prayers go out also to her.
  11. earle58 My bad, thank you for clarifying my misunderstanding! Very true! Sad that anyone would go to that limit. Well, guess we should wait it out, and hopefully someone will come on and clarify either way.
  12. I understand that you would think someone wouldn't write such a post for gaining attention, but i have seen it done many times. Not to this extent. Just an honest question by some of us members to be sure...nothing insulting about it. Just concerned and looking for clarity..that is all.
  13. I agree, and in no way am I not sorry for anyone's loss, as I said, I lost my brother this way. I just also don't want to be duped! Just too many facts that lead toward something strange, showbiz is a female, this "family person" said it was a mail, and the same type of posting type.
  14. Ummm...looking for attention? Unstable? Is this person really passed and the family letting us know, but then again, as mentioned..good observation on the style of their post is the same. Many people don't realize they have a certain way of writing. I know I do. Wonder why this person is not making anymore comments. I reviewed showbiz previous posts, Very true, same style of writing! Also, definately a female, talked about a boyfriend she had during school etc. Very strange!!!
  15. Wow...very very strange. Why would they do this?
