Nova Southeastern Fall 2011
Emalule- I may put in the application for the baptist scholarship however, I heard not so great things about it. I much rather be at the main campus, I haven't heard any complaints about the teachers/clinicals. I was hoping someone might be looking for a roommate close distance to the Nova main campus? I was looking at 2/2's, but I need a roomie. Anyone interested or know another NSU student looking for housing?

Seminole State/UCF BSN Concurrent Program- Fall 2011
For spring 2011 start, it seemed to me they sent out denial letters to those with low gpa's first (like below 3.0), then sent out acceptance letters, and then the rest of the denial letters. I will be super nervous if I don't get a letter tomorrow in the mail at all and others get them! It seems like there is quite a handful of us trying this program for the 2nd time, I hope our luck is better this time around I thought I'd share my situation from my application last time-- I have a bachelors from UCF, however, since UCF humanities course numbers don't match up with SSC course numbers, I technically dont meet the requirements for SSC associate nursing program. Meaning, if UCF nursing doesnt accept me, I get completely denied from the associate nursing program from SSC (just because I am missing "SSC's" humanities)! I thought that was ridiculous, and no one even told me until after I was denied and I asked why I was completely denied. They told me if UCF was to accept me, then I would have to take the humanities at some point of the nursing program, regardless that I have a degree from a University (crazy).

NSU EntryLevel Fall 2011
Thanks! I have an overall 3.4 gpa, I was really nervous because I have two C's in anatomy and physiology. I had finished all my pre-req classes back in 2008 for my first bachelors degree. I think what also helped was that I have clinical experience in the hospital and nursing homes. I also applied super early, I believe around November 2010, I waited a long time to hear back, but it was worth it :)

NSU EntryLevel Fall 2011
I haven't received my packet yet, only an acceptance email saying my packet is in the mail. I live in Orlando. I graduated with my health science/health administration degree from ucf last year. I know nothing about the area around nova or even where to begin looking! I am planning to drive down soon to scope out the place. I'd love to live with some other nursing students.

I am also anxiously awaiting a letter for SSC/UCF. It's my first choice, and if I don't get in, I'll be headed to Nova Southeastern in Ft Lauderdale (wont look forward to paying that $$ though)! Good luck everyone, and be sure to post as soon as you hear anything :)

Valencia concurrent UCF fall 2011
I am currently admitted to Valencia Summer 2012 start. Does Valencia's concurrent program select the students for the program, or do I have to apply for the concurrent program?

NSU EntryLevel Fall 2011
I have applied for fall start at Nova, to the Ft. Lauderdale campus. Does anyone know how they choose? Mostly by overall GPA, when you applied, or science gpa? From the threads I've read, it seems quite random! I am wondering if it will help/hurt if I already have a previous bachelors degree?

Remington College of Nursing - Orlando
Congrats spyeye. I know there are nice apartments in the Lake Mary area with close distance to Remington. However, I don't know specifics! Is anyone filling out Fafsa? I noticed the package information states the deadline was December 10, 2010 for January start programs. Has anyone spoke with the financial adviser yet? I suppose I should get on this! Any financial aid recommendations from anyone would be great...

Remington College of Nursing - Orlando
This is for an AS degree only correct? Will this schools credits transfer to a university for the bridge to BSN programs (because of it's accreditation)?

Remington College of Nursing - Orlando
I know all my RN friends who graduated May 2010 from UCF have all been hired (most right out of their practicums before they graduated!!!) I'm sure your right, that some new graduates are having a little difficulty. I am willing to take my chances, Im sure it's what I want to do! Anyone else get acceptance letters yet?!

Remington College of Nursing - Orlando
I also applied before November 15th deadline. I haven't recieved a letter in the mail yet; but I did get a phone call saying the admissions board had a few questions about my application. I was then told that the admission committee is getting together to complete the acceptance letters after Thanksgiving weekend, and that all letters should be out by mid December. At the time of my interview (November 20th), I was told 5 people had been accepted from early decision. I assume that if you have already been accepted they really wanted you! Ah, I hate waiting!

Spring 2011 Sem. State and UCF-SSC Concurrent Program
Hey guys, I unfortunately received a regret letter today. I was unsure if I'd get in. I have a 3.4 and got a 77.3 on the teas (could've done better, but was unable to take it again because of timing). I'm bummed. I am now waiting on a letter from Remington College of Nursing and University of Miami accelerated programs! Hopefully I will have better luck with them, even though I wont be looking forward to spending the extra $$! Good luck to all of you throughout the program!

No letter for me today! If you don't mind me asking for those of you that just got accepted, what were your gpa/teas scores?

Spring 2011 Sem. State and UCF-SSC Concurrent Program
Thanks wannabnurs! It was right there on the site, don't know how I missed it! I figured they'd make a clear cut of people with below a 3.0 and those who haven't finished pre-reqs before this semester. I haven't been getting any mail from either SSC or UCF. The only reason I'm assuming is because I graduated from UCF in August, so I guess I don't need to do orientation or give them health forms. Hopefully that's a good sign for you all though! I'll check back later to see if there is any new news - till then, I'll be waiting at my mailbox

Spring 2011 Sem. State and UCF-SSC Concurrent Program
Hello all! I am new to allnurses.com! I am anxiously awaiting my letter for the concurrent program. I was told there were about 360 total applicants (makes me a tad nervous, more than I anticipated). Wannabnurs: I was wondering what "category 2" means?
