i know someone who studied in the Phils. and is now working as RN here in CA, he applied for 2 RE-ENTRY PERMITS and didn't have any problem with his green card..:) as far as i know, there is no limit in applying re-entry.. he also had 2 weeks vacation(2 weeks only because of the summer classes) to renew the permit and went to the homeland security and they help her renew it with her short stay..:)

if u are going to take the nclex-pn, is it okay to use the nclex-rn saunders 3rd ed comprehensive book as a study guide?

i took the exam last friday.. jan. 30 and still no result.. i wil pray dat we will all pass!=)

btw, i took my exam in roseville, CA. i think i still have 5 more days to wait. im still hoping i pass the exam.

Re: Getting NCLEX-RN results in California Hey guys~ I want to wish you all the best and trust me when I say try and be patient! I know it is just near impossible to be patient when your entire future/life hinges on this one silly exam, but I have probably taken 5 years off my life with all my worrying these past few days! I took my test the same day (January 20th) as a friend of mine and she got her results within 2-3 days...I have waited an unimaginable 8 days... to finally find out today that I PASSED!!! I swore in my 75 question exam that I must have failed and that the universe would subsequently implode after such event...but turns out there were other, more fruitful plans for me. I obsessively checked the BRN website everyday and even went as far to stay up past midnight one night to check the newly posted results to no avail (don't bother by the way cuz I'm pretty sure they do not post results til around 2am-3am...way past my bedtime) So here's my advice as a person previously on the edge of completely losing it cuz I was making myself crazy with this test & results: #1- Never give up hope...if you're not officially out, keep telling yourself, "you're still in the game!" #2- Wait until you have an official reply from the board before doing something drastic like starting to study again!! #3- Don't believe the hype about # of questions & pass/fail or how long it takes to get results. I passed in 75 , but so did my friend @ 265 questions. And I got my results days after friends! (8 days cali time) #4- Try and relax because if you pass then great, but if you don't, I promise the universe will not subsequently implode! did u received the letter from the BRN already? u know what, im on the same boat as urs.. except that its my 1st time to take the exam. i had 2 sata and no math. i think i failed. been waiting for 4 days already. took the exam last friday(jan. 30). how many days did u wait for the letter?

i took my nclex-rn exam last friday and upto now my name is still now showing at the CA BRN site.. my experience was very very memorable for me.. upto now i haven't told anybody not even my parents or boyfriend that i took nclex.. we just moved here in sacramento and i don't have my driver's license yet.. what i did was i took the bus going to pearson vue center in roseville.. as stupid as i was, i didn't realize that i wasn't able to track which bus to take from orlando/lois lane were the sacramento RT had to stop going to roseville pearson vue center.. i arrived at the last bus stop for sacramento almost 1pm and got so worried because my appointment was at 2pm and i don't even know which bus to take and worst im not familiar with buses of roseville and the place itself.. got extremely nervous and i just asked a couple of bus drivers for the roseville transit and most of them doesnt know where lava ridge court is(where pearson vue center is located).. finally, one bus driver was familiar with the building and told me which buses to take.. BUS-ES! meaning, i had to take 2 bus to reach to the center.. again! im extremely nervous not to be able to get on time for my appointment.. after about 30 mins wait, the bus finally arrived.. and its around 1.45pm! i don't know what to do already.. still, i prayed and hope that i will arrive their 2.30pm which states on the pearson vue website that they will give me 30 mins more with the scheduled appointment.. i arrived at the next bus stop around 1.58 and got terribly worried.. i still have to wait for a couple more minutes for the bus to bring me to lava ridge court.. i arrived at the nearest bus stop of the pearson vue at around 2.18pm.. and i had 2 walk 2 blocks to reach the building.. and worst i got lost with all the buildings there since it was my 1st tym to get there.. and i got so terribly exhausted and decided not to take the exam anymore.. i walked and walked and its about 2.45 when i saw the building and decided to come in to see the place.. but i not in my thought that i can still take the exam.. i guess despite all the unfortunate events, they told me i can still take the exam.. the administrator told me i was just in the nick of time.. since the center closes at about 8.45pm that means i can still complete the 6 hours exam.. whew!! i got terribly excited and happy and thankful.. and so i took the exam.. had 2 SATA, no MATH/calculations and shut down at 75.. honestly, i really don't know if i pass.. i guess i was so damn exhausted with the experience and totally got blank with i took the exam.. but im still wishing i did pass though.. and so this is my 4th day waiting for the result.. this is my first time and got really inspired to write when i read the thread of ladysnyper who took the exam last jan. 29 and im thinking we were on the same boat and hoping that just like her i will pass too. *sigh i hope luck will still be on my side while waiting for the result.
