LVN vs RN
I am attending LPN school in August at a local Vocational school. It is 10 months long full time and does not require me to have CNA first (actually, there were no prereqs). I have heard that LPN programs are as intense as RN. Some state that there are more clinicals in LPN and more theory in RN. If I were in your position, I would review what you failed out of because you will most likely be going over this in LPN school as well. Best of luck!

I got accepted!!
Congrats!!! I know BCC is a difficult school to get into ( I'm currently taking prerequs there and I know people who have been on a waiting list for a while) so it is great that you got in!! I actually just found out I was accepted into the Diman LPN day program for this year. I had applied knowing that BCC was difficult to get into and my prereqs weren't finished yet for the last BCC app. deadline. I will be doing the LPN-RN bridge at BCC in 2010 (I called and there is no wait list for that) which is technically the 2nd year of RN school so maybe we will be in the same classes! Best of luck to you! Keep us posted on how you make out in the program!!

All You Ever Wanted to Know About Getting Into Bristol Community College
Hey all! I am new to this site...currently taking prereqs at BCC. Taking A&P I right now...I have a long road ahead of me lol! Hoping to apply for the RN program for fall of 2010...wow that seems so long from now but I'm sure it will come quickly. I think I'm also going to apply to the Massasoit CC program as well since it is difficult to get into BCC at least I will have a better chance if I have 2 applications out there. The prereqs are basically the same. May also apply to the LPN program at Diman RVHS for this upcoming year. DOes anyone know anything about the LPN-RN program att BCC? is that also difficult to get into? Any thoughts about this route would help Thanks!!
