  1. Keep working hard but keep in mind that "fairly competent" will not make it in the ICU setting and will be deadly in an operating room. Just being honest here.
  2. I got a 1490/ 5.0 and will start school in the fall. My advice... Study for it. Do better. Check it off your list. Jump through next hoop and repeat as necessary to get where you want to go. Good luck.

  4. I know it's an old thread but some might still want to know. Mayo's anesthesia department has deep pockets and subsidizes tuition (also provides a stipend for students willing to commit to work here when done with the program). Some students stay on as CRNA's so it's an investment of sorts (training is very expensive). No free lunch but there are some good deals out there and Mayo is probably one of them.
