  1. I took my NCLEX-RN board on March 23 & I think mines shut down ~80 q's. I had to close my eyes while I answered #75, hoping that it'll stopped right there, but it kept going. But for sure, I know it gave me a few more q's then it stopped. I was really shock!! Came out of the testing center unsure of how I did. all I remember was that there were a bunch of priority q's & maybe 3-SATA, and no drug calculations, but I know did all my best for this exam & yup! finally for the 4th time I FINALLY PASSED!!!!!! I'm officially an RN !!!!
  2. Hello there, Don't give up...like everyone else had said take a break & let your brain rest for a couple of weeks or so. I myself had failed 3x..last one taken 12/08...started studying back again after the holidays using Saunders Q&A Review 4th edition (this book has only Q's & rationales) + the main Saunders 4th ed book. All I did from January until 1-week before my exam was just doing ~50-100 Q's/day. Also printed out Lab values, made my own Medication lists (those that normally popped out in the q's) & made stack of index cards for my own notes. Don't even bother reading each chapters on the book, just go back to the ones that you think you need to really go over & review to understand the content. But most of all, don't forget to pray & ask God to help you to stay focused & give you the strength to face this challenge. Failing for the 3rd or more times doesn't mean that you're a failure..you've gone through nursing school to become an RN...so my friend, don't give up now...take that as a good lesson for which that is what's going t make us even stronger & more determined to go up there and pass the boards!!! I took my boards for the 4th time On March 23 & found out that I finally PASSED on March 25. I know how you're feeling right now, 'coz I've been there myself...but just have faith & you'll get there. & keep in touch. GOODLUCK
  3. I sure will...just a friendly reminder...as soon as you sit down in front of the computer... Close you eyes and ask God & your guradian angels to watch over, help you to stay focus & at the same time guide you all throughout the exam. Good luck & God Bless.
  4. :heartbeat:redbeatheGOD is good!, To all my friends here @ allnurses.com,just wanted to let you guys know that for the 4th time I finally PASSED!!!! I took it 3/23 & found out online today the good news- "I'm officially an RN":wink2:. Yup! I was really scared, but more confident as soon as I got to the testing center knowing that GOD is out there watching over me. I have been attending mass every Sunday (rain or shine) & praying every night before going to bed that he'll watch over me, guide me to stay focus & strong enough to do well & pass- and sure did he didn't let me down. My months of hard work has finally paid off. I also would like to thank Suzanne for her help & great tips- you surely are heaven sent. As soon as the computer shut down ~79-80 (I remember closing my eyes at the same time I pressed the button to answer #75) I said to myself - OMG is that for real?!. I swear my eyes & mouth were so wide open in disbelief. When the computer didn't stop @ 75, I for sure was ready to anwer more q's 'till the end, but the unexpected happened it stopped. Honestly, when I came out of the testing center- wasn't sure how I did, except for I know that I gave it all my very best this time and leaving everything up to God. So to all of you out there who will be taking or re-taking again, never give up for GOD is watching over us. GOD BLESS US ALL !!!:heartbeat:redbeathe:saint:
  5. CONGRATS....!!!!! Can't wait to be in your place right now...Please continue to pray for me & as well as those re-taking the NCLEX myself for the 4th time this 3/23....Good luck in you RN career!!!!!
  6. Best of luck to both of us...and as well as the rest of those who's taking and/or retaking the NCLEX-RN. Same goes here where I am in my last week of studying for my exam date is excatly 1week from today. GOD BLESS US ALL!!!
  7. I'm with you in prayers that one day (hopefully soon) we'll get thru this big challenge of our life. God has his reasons on why we have to go thru this. I've gone thru a lot of up & downs of my life and thus including this one. From other people that had posted their stories, some had done (if I'm not mistaken) up to @ least 5-6 tries before passing the NCLEX, so I'm not giving up just yet 'coz I know that God will not let me down for I know that I would've not graudated from nursing school if it wasn't for him. So hang in there....keep your faith that one day we'll get up there. So prepare yourself well for the next exam. If you start to use Saunders, try to take some notes using index cards. know your lab values, and basic/common meds...But for now..give yourself a break..spend some quality time with family and when you think you're ready to open up your textbooks again take a deep breather..focus..& always pray...
  8. Amen...thanks for offering this prayer. I had goose bumps while reading your posts, because I am one of those who will be re-taking the exam this coming 3/23 for the 4th time. I have been really preparing since the last time I took one last December. It's been three months since then, and I have praying everyday that the Lord will see how hard I am trying to study and hoping that he will guide me to stay more focus on that day and grant my wish to do well and pass. I am trying to stay positive as much as I can. So far with my taking notes, anwering q's everyday, memorizing my labs- my results are much much better (now 70's -80's), compared to before, I had a hard time reaching this %'s. I hope that this will help motivate me to pass, comes 3/23. So, thank you very much for this prayer. I will remember this posts when that day comes. Keep you updated.:heartbeat:saint:
  9. We'll do....Pray & always keep God in your heart & mind before bed tonight and as well as before you start your exam tomorrow...Good luck..and keep us posted.
  10. Hello to everyone, Amen I say....for I myself will be re-taking for the 4th time on 3/23. I have been praying really hard to our Lord Jesus Christs to guide & to keep me focused & strengthen me even more as I will try again this time. My heart goes out to all who will be taking and/or re-taking the NCLEX board. I feel that the Lord will not let us down as long as we believe. I might have failed several times..but I know things happened for a reason. At the same time, it also made me realized not to take the boards for granted by not preparing well enough to take the challenge. Not only that the Lord made me realized my mistakes so I can better prepare myself , but most of all to "always to remember & praise him always and not only when we need something". So to all of us, goodluck & may the Lord send us his blessings and grant our requests by passing the boards.
  11. Yes..Thank you Lord...for you are always with us...and for those who passed congratulations. I myself will be retaking the exam in March..and this time I know that I'm more prepared and believed that our Lord almighty will always be there to guide us..I might have failed the previous exams, but I know that things happen for a reason & that one day I too will celebrate. Please keep us in your prayers. Keep in touch.
