  1. TCU-Trauma, The recruiter called me the next day after my interview to tell me i was hired. Apparently its up to how quickly the unit managers decide on who they want. good luck!
  2. I am in the critical care residency and took the medication calculation test in May, as long as you do the review homework and understand it, you will be fine. I didn't think it was very hard at all. Good luck!!
  3. Curly gurlie- i only had 6 months of nurse extern experience in med/surg... i checked the website every day religiously and applied in February, i didnt talk with anyone beforehand...honestly i think i was just lucky and it was good timing... good luck to everyone!
  4. I accepted a GN residency position in the Parkland SICU a few weeks ago! They also called me for an ER interview 2 weeks ago, but i respectfully declined. Has anyone else accepted a position? I am so excited, this is my dream job!
  5. I just started my application process and just went to MEPS last week! i'll be graduating in May 2010 also, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that i will be accepted!!
  6. I forgot to add, I don't know if you've already asked, but it would help to ask the advisor for pre-nursing students what the minimum amount of points for acceptance was last semester. It's usually (not always) a good indicator of your 1st semester. Before my class, the amount of points went up about half a point to 2 points each semester. It isn't a definite answer, but might give you some peace of mind!
  7. Congratulations! I am about to go into level 3 at UTT on the Tyler campus. I was accepted in fall '08 with 76 point something points. I did not have an associates. The minimum amount of points for acceptance obviously changes each semester, but in my opinion I think you will be fine! You have a good GPA! I did not take TEAS.. I took the NET test and scored a little above average. I think they accept around 80 or 90 students for the Tyler campus, once you are accepted you might wonder how some of the people managed to get accepted! haha :nuke: good luck!
