  1. Yes, that's what I have heard too. Many of my friends who graduated with me last May could not find jobs right away. I don't know if my year of PCU experience will help or hurt my chances. Some managers prefer brand new nurses so they can train fresh. Good luck to everyone.
  2. Yeah, I'm applying to all of them too. I am so nervous. There's so much competition and a limited amount of spots. What are you all applying for? I'm going to try for ICU.
  3. Who's applying to internships in the Dallas area for June? Does anyone know when we can start applying?
  4. I'm registered for the Jan. 18th start date at UTA. I"m taking the Professional Nursing course.
  5. New grad RN San Antonio: base pay: 22/hr night diff: 26.55/hr nights and weekends diff: 30/hr
  6. I'm moving to the DFW area very soon. Does anyone have any idea what I canmake in the ICU with one year experience. I am currently making 22/hour so I hope that I can make at least $25/hour. Does that sound like it is out of the ballpark?
  7. I think you have to have a year of hospital experience before you can even work for an agency.
  8. Hello! I will be moving to the Plano/Richardson area very soon. I have a year experience in PCU and would like to get a position in ICU. Does anyone know what I can expect to make with a year experience? I currently make $22/hr in San Antonio and am still at my first job. I am specifically looking at Baylor Hospital in Plano, but am open to other hospitals as well.
