  1. I get mine through Medscape.com It's completely free and very easy. I'm an LPN, but it works for RNs, physicians, and LPN's. I checked with the Iowa board of nursing to make sure they were legit credits before I did any, and they said it was fine! :)
  2. When I graduated in May 2008, I wondered the same thing, only I had only ever had experience in DENTAL assisting, not CNA, or anything like that, what I did was thought of all the clinics, hospitals, etc.. in my area and just started sending out my resume. I think I had sent out about 6 resumes, and within a WEEK I get 3 replies, and had a job within the month:D. I possibly just got lucky, but so many places are looking for nurses, I'm sure you won't have a problem, especially with your background!
  3. Ha! I know exactly what you mean....although I know that in any setting where you have a large group of women co-workers, there's always gonna be some nasty ones, it seems that nurses in particular can be that way. When I first started fresh out of school, I was so stressed out by this, maybe because I'm always the "nice" one, but as I kept dealing with it day after day, I think one day I just snapped:banghead: and started giving those bit*#es a piece of my mind. After that week was over, I noticed I didn't really let it bother me anymore, I remembered my main focus is the patients and kind of blocked out the rest of the drama at work, cuz hey, who the hell needs more drama in their life anyway, right?
