  1. Sorry i have to disagree with this article but theres the stuff were good at and the stuff we enjoy. Unfortunately the two are not always the same. If somone hates nursing but does their job well then I don't really care if they are miserable. Of course in a perfect world everyone would love what they do but guess what, it isn't a perfect world.
  2. Can somone please post a link for some of these shoes for guys i need to buy now and am looking for something stylish and comfortable.
  3. That line with the amount of states aloowing sex offenders to be emt's is scary. Does anyone know what the law is in NY?
  4. I went to their web site and entered 3 books. 2 of them they offered me 0.00 and the other one they wouldnt even take as a donation lol. Oh well i'll try ebay and amazon.
  5. I saw an article today where many emts's and paramedics across the country were being accused of inappropriate touching and I was just wondering in a profession such as nursing how does one avoid being accused of such things while still doing their job? After all it is a job which requires touching and undressing of people and sometimes emotionall disturbed people. Here's a link to the article if anyone is curious. In theses cases the accusations may very well have been founded but an intresting topic nonetheless. http://news.aol.com/health/article/paramedics-accused-of-molesting-patients/275005

  7. Perfect all questions answered thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. So I am an EMT and cpr instructor becoming a nurse just curious if anyone has been through that and if they think being an emt will help with nursing school.
  9. One more that I forgot is that i'm a guy so how many males are there in your class ?:wink2:
  10. No way, definetely not with all the stories on the news about people being dead for 2 days with noone noticing. For most of us our parents have given us enough oppertunities in life that we really owe them this last kindness no matter how inconvenient. Obviously sometimes it's neccesary because not everyone posseses the skills to care for a sick older loved one.
  11. What I am learning from this thread is that nurses have the ability to make doctors as miserable as they make them.
  12. No they don't thats always the other side of the coin. Some professors are nice so they let you use older cheaper versions but then when your done those are harder to sell.
  13. I have a ton of undergrad books that i am looking to sell but most web sites won't take many of them back. Anyone here sold anything like that on Amazon or Ebay?
  14. I am a man going into nursing. At first I was worried about "being a male nurse" then I said to myself screw all those people who will look down on me. At the end of the day anyone who didn't go into nursing for this reason will have lost out on a rewarding and lucrative career as a result while i laugh all the way to the bank doing something I really enjoy.
  15. You can only pm after 15 posts so here goes. Hows your daily schedule each day of the week? How much time is needed each week for studying? Are the professors decent or lousy? Which hospitals are rotations done in? Is there any time off during summers? How big is your class? Are you happy that you went there in the end I really appreciate your input and thanks in advance!!!!
