  1. we too decided to wait til the surgeon asks for a specific suture before we open any. Also, we have pulled certain instruments from trays and peeled packed them so we don't open an entire tray for one particular instrument:)
  2. YEAH!!!! I've been a registered nurse for going on 6 years. I've worked orthopaedics for the most of my nursing career and for the last 2.5 I've worked in the the OR. I own a 2005 Honda ST1300 and a 2010 Kawasaki dualsport bike:) I wouldn't change anything. I love to ride, it is so freeing and fun to me:)

    I am planning on taking the ONC this fall and was looking for tips. I have already bought and started studying the Orthopaedic Nurses Certification Exam Secrets Study Guide by Morrison Media LLC. I have also heard to order the practice exams from the ONC website. Any advice would be helpful and greatly appreciated:loveya: thanks

  12. 3-8! i thought we as nurses were past this...that is crazy to have 8 pts per 1 nurse! i feel as though i am a very organized and good nurse but that number makes me a little nervous. my hat is off to ya'll! after all you gotta do what you gotta do. does the hospital just need to hire more nurses or is that ok with administration? hang in there!!!!!
  13. georgia. i work in the operating room and have ortho/plastics/med surg floor experience. i looked at the hospital in bozeman it appears to be nice. we are already planning a trip back out there in the summer:)
  14. my husband and i just got back from visiting montana and we fell in LOVE! i was wondering if anyone had any info on the hospitals in bozeman or surrounding areas? thanks:)
