Was medical terminology that hard?I am taking A&P this fall with medical terminology ....I have heard that was not a hard class....now I am scared!!!

I am in the same boat ,our school will let you do a fresh start to erase all grades from the past but I hate to do that to because I did not Fail any classes from before just made a lot of c 's which still count but also are not so good to get into nursing school. I don't know what we can do.

Hey Biggles how is nursing school? I am sure you are busy studying alot! I have started school this semester I took Bob Raines for Psy. but they gave us Mrs. Russell instead she is very very hard and boring!!! I am taking the ACT again after this semester ,I really didn't study like I know I need to now,and a 16 is not that bad for being out of school for 20yrs. I am sure I can do better .I am at Jackson campus on Monday afternoons for Psy. are you on campus at that time? Hope you are doing well in school !!!!!!

Hi all I am start school this spring I am 41 and have not been in school for 22 years. The problem is where I am going to school they require and act test and you have to make a 20 ,I took it a few week ago and made a 16 ,I am proud of that since I have not cracked a book in 22 yrs but that is not good enough . my question is how can I make higher on it ,had anyone had to struggle to may a higher grade and what did you do:confused:

Please don't quit !! I have not even started school yet and don't know if I will (just found out I made a 16 on the act test) so I can either give up or try again ,again and again( don't know yet) I know you are heart broken but this is the devil in your way and we all will pray for you to over come this the next time if you ask. This will be you!!

Hey all bad news I made a 16 on the act test maybe I should not be and RN .I am a little down in the dumps because I just read my score. Thanks for all your help!!

Thanks so much!! You really did well on the science and reading,the science part was really hard ,there were some kids crying when we were done with the test and others said they just marked bubbles. I will take it over again and again and again if I have to.

If this is your dream you will find a way !!!! This is what I plan to do; I am just starting college this spring at 40yrs. I have a business ,and my husband never gets overtime at work anymore so things will be tight. I plan on working until I get into NS then i will sell my business, then get a private school loan to pay my part of the bills until I guaduate from NS. I hate that I will be paying back a loan when I finish ,but think of it this way ,how much does a new car cost that will need to be replace in a few years ,education will last a lifetime! I hope you find a way to!!!!!:candy:

Thanks all for your help ,I took the act test today and it was as bad as I thought . I think I should have worried about the science more, I was lost on that part and the young ones came out crying after the test so I know it wasn't just me . I am praying I "guessed right " maybe I can get a 19. Please pray for me!!!!!

Pink 85, I don't know who to talk to now I have written the appeal ,so now I don't know what to do. I am so disappointed how can they judge you 15yrs ago.

I went to the financial aid office ,she was the one to help me fill out the appeal , and that is what she said. I had 2 W 's,that is way the system is now is what she told me.

I don't have a high gpa but the advisor said it was because I withdrew from classes ,we are on a Tn. lottery system. I don't know what to do ,guess I will have to get a loan.

Do you remember how many classes you took that semester to bring it up also I have already wrote a letter of appeal and they turned it down.

I just found out I can't get financial aid , I have already registered for school ,and ready to start my dream of becoming a RN. The reason I did not get it is because I "W" from 2 classes 15 yrs ago, I don't think that is right being it was so long ago. Students please remember not to "W" from a class if at all possible it will haunt you in years to come.

Hi I am taking the ACT Dec. 13 I have been studying the Kaplan book got it at the library. I wish I did not have to take it ,I know it is going to be hard to make a 19 after being out of school for 22 years
