The wait is longer than 2 years, hate to say it. If I hadn't done the CEP I'd still be waiting to be placed. My times tamp was Oct 2011.

I have no idea how it works for the groups. I know they just kind of go in order, but I don't know what time they start with. But overall, you're far. Far down on the list lol. Sorry, but the wait is really long. I would highly recommend getting your coreqs out of the way and looking into one of the CEP programs. You'll probably get in much quicker doing that than waiting :)

Haha I'm well aware that I won't have a life, especially since I'm in the CEP.

I can already tell it's going to be frustrating for me and my husband. We both like information ahead of time lol. Hopefully they give us a lot at orientation so I have a whole week to get anything else I need...

Did you get to pick which group you were in or were you just assigned? When did you find out what days your clinicals were? I WISH THEY GAVE US MORE INFORMATION AHEAD OF TIME!! It's killing my type-A personality.

I'm sure this has been asked a million times but I was wondering if anyone knows about the clinicals for MCC. I'm mostly just wondering if they will only take place on the days that they have designated in the class schedule. I start block 1 in August and I'm planning on taking a trip in October. The trip is over the weekend, while classes are Monday-Thursday. I just want to make sure that it won't cause any conflict since I'm buying plane tickets that are non-refundable. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Also, they will only take 1st attempt grades. I was a little worried because I took BIO201 & 202 online and got a C, but then retook them in person and got an A. But, I had an A in all of the other * classes so my GPA was a 3.5. I still kick myself for those Cs lol

As long as your combined GPA for all of the * classes is 3.25 you'll be fine.

I think the minimum GPA to apply is 3.25 for ASU. I think because that program is so new and the most expensive, anyone who meets the qualifications gets in. My cohort is less than 20 students. The NAU program seems to be more popular and it has been around longer. I'm not sure if anyone has been turned away though. Good luck!!

I got accepted in February and start the ASU classes in May.

You can't apply until your grades have posted for all CEP prerequisites. It took about 2 weeks to hear from ASU, but I think NAU applicants heard sooner.

Thanks! Also are you using your cumulative GPA? They only look at certain classes hen calculating your GPA. Just wanted to let you know :) also if you retook any classes asu only looks at the first attempt grade.

I think you'll be okay with your GPA and previous degree but maybe call the advisor and see what they say.

And that was without studying lol I wonder what it would have been if I had studied... But it was a pretty easy test.

I will have to double check my overall score later but I know my math HESI was 99%. I think overall it was in the low 90s.

I got into the ASU cep and I was just wondering if your maricopa status page still says you haven't been placed. I faxed in the contract days ago and I just want to make sure that I'm not the only one with that status on the maricopa nursing page. I've called and emailed the nursing advisor at MCC to verify and haven't got a response yet.

True. Plus my GPA is 3.5 (would be 4.0 but I took bio201 and 202 online and then retook them in person and got a better grade. Darn asu and their first attempt grade rules) and HESI scores were awesome. I just hate not knowing. Don't they know how mean it is I mean, we already waited so long before they even HAD the asu cep option.

Well that makes me a bit nervous. They told me that I don't really have anything to worry about but each day I don't hear back my hopes and dreams fizzle out a little.

Nope. I checked the maricopa site and it says placements won't be until the end of the month. Should I have heard? I swear I'm not neurotic or anything

I just applied on Tuesday with a 3.5 GPA. They seemed to think that I was pretty much set with that, but I don't know what the average GPA is. TBH I was a bit disappointed that they only take first attempt grades because I took A&P online and did horribly so I took it in person and my GPA with those grades would have been a 4.0
